What was the point? It's not something I know for absolutely sure, but British wrestling for a long time was run by gangsters, and one of the reasons Savile was untouchable for most of his life was because he was in with gangsters. I wouldn't be surprised if that was how he built up those links. Quote
King Coconut Posted January 5, 2022 Posted January 5, 2022 There was probably also some noncing to be had. I mean, it's still wrestling. Quote
Paid Members BomberPat Posted January 5, 2022 Paid Members Posted January 5, 2022 I don't think it was ever anything more than a daft publicity stunt - he was already a DJ when he started wrestling. Quote
Paid Members air_raid Posted January 5, 2022 Paid Members Posted January 5, 2022 It’s a fucking awful situation where I stumble upon some intimation on Twitter that someone is anti-LGBT and my first thought was “Hang on, nonce and rapist I know about but… is this new?” Quote

Also just throw in the fact that its 2022 and Paul E is still relevant in wrestling with the two top stars in the company. Quote
Paid Members Devon Malcolm Posted January 5, 2022 Paid Members Posted January 5, 2022 Wouldn't it take up considerably less of our time if this topic had been about nice people in wrestling. Quote
Paid Members Carbomb Posted January 5, 2022 Paid Members Posted January 5, 2022 Yeh, but saving time is pretty much the opposite of why we post on this forum at all, no? Quote

Joe Blog Posted January 5, 2022 Posted January 5, 2022 Ospreay. He isn't the worst but he is still a horrid human. Quote

Only if it was about "the nicest", though. If it was just about nice people in general, we'd have to include Terry Funk, Johnny Kidd, and Bryan Danielson at least. Quote
Merzbow Posted January 5, 2022 Posted January 5, 2022 I'm sure we've had a nicest person thread in the past, although, that was more general celebrities and the answer was obviously Bob Mortimer. Quote
Paid Members wandshogun09 Posted January 5, 2022 Paid Members Posted January 5, 2022 We’ve probably had threads like that a few times. I started one a year or so ago and Bobby Eaton was the trigger for it. Quote
Paid Members Jazzy G Posted January 5, 2022 Paid Members Posted January 5, 2022 Yeah, nobody had a bad thing to say about Beautiful Bobby, with the possible exception of Lance Storm. Quote
