Paid Members garynysmon Posted November 30, 2023 Paid Members Share Posted November 30, 2023 The last BOTB was head to head with Bound for Glory. The one before that went head to head with Slammiversary. So in the latest ‘the sky is blue’ development as TNA Hard to Kill is on Jan 13…

Does it really make any sort of difference?

All well and good placing yourself as WWE’s competition and crying on Twitter about WWE stacking an NXT show running head to head, but consistently counter programming a smaller company’s PPV’s? For it to happen almost every time is not a coincidence. Edited November 30, 2023 by garynysmon

For it to happen almost every time is not a coincidence. 1- They are the first or second Saturday in January , April, August and October. Every year. 2- TNA moved their PPV’s or specials from Sunday to Fridays and Saturdays. 3- WBD ordered them as a Saturday night special 4 times a year. They probably choose the air date especially as AEW normally only announce them a few weeks out. I don’t think they announce them only to go against competition, but if your going to do stuff on the same night, it’s going to happen. Like how WWE have suddenly started doing events on a Saturday a lot more recently.
Paid Members LaGoosh Posted December 1, 2023 Paid Members Share Posted December 1, 2023 (edited) Man, absolutely no one watches those Battle of the Belts. It won't make a dent in whatever Impact's putting on. Edited December 1, 2023 by LaGoosh
Paid Members JLM Posted December 1, 2023 Paid Members Share Posted December 1, 2023 MJF gave TNA a big shout out on Dynamite, guess that makes them even.

sukhy
WON: With 67% revenue growth in a year, AEW internally has been cited so far ahead as an overall business from where they were at the start of 2023 and that the year overall has to be called a massive success, particularly the second half of 2023. From an actual profit situation, 2024 in theory would be in line to perform better than 2023. This might shut up all of the grifters for a while, but I doubt it will. The Gaffer
Fine 67% growth but they had to move it all opposite hard cam to get it to look that way I bet. Edited December 1, 2023 by Gay as FOOK
Mr_Danger
They should deffo introduce a new wrestler called Hard Cam. The front of his body can be ripped as but he’ll have no arse and a fat back.

It depends on what the latest outrage stance is, doesn't it? If Flair came out on Dynamite and voiced support for Palestine he'd be cancelled and sent packing within a day or two. Everything else he's done is small potatoes compared to that for most people.
Paid Members DCW Posted December 5, 2023 Paid Members Share Posted December 5, 2023 I don't think this makes Tony any less of a twat for letting Flair appear in AEW for sponsorship money. "We’re not paying Ric Flair; Ric Flair is essentially paying us,” Khan said. “We’re getting paid by Wooooo Energy for all of his appearances, so we’re collecting revenue from them.” https://nypost.com/2023/12/05/sports/inside-stings-retirement-plan-and-the-aew-goal-that-will-shape-it/

Paid Members Lion_of_the_Midlands Posted December 5, 2023 Paid Members Share Posted December 5, 2023 To be fair he isn't getting paid by Flair, he's getting paid by the money men who pay Flair to put his name to the brand. They are all between them enabling a sex pest. Let's share the blame, there is plenty to go around.
