The King Of Swing Posted October 15, 2021 Posted October 15, 2021 I'm sure PunkStep meant that the one with Rocky Vs. Clubber Lang was the best one but accidentally hit post reply early. Quote
Paid Members PunkStep Posted October 15, 2021 Paid Members Posted October 15, 2021 3 is obviously class, but 4 captures everything from the 1980s. I mean, it even had montages from scenes that happened earlier in the same movie. If that's not innovative then I don't know what is. Quote

I liked what Last Jedi tried to do. It's the best of the three sequels when compared to Episode 4 Again and Oh Shit We'd Better Wrap This Up. I totally get why people love Empire Strikes Back, but Return Of The Jedi is my personal favourite because that third act has some nice drama and tension to it. Quote
Paid Members ReturnOfTheMack Posted October 15, 2021 Paid Members Posted October 15, 2021 Return of the Jedi was the first film that I consciously saw understood symbolism in a film (Lukes outfit being white underneath). Quote

A good mate and occasional keffer put it best what was wrong with TLJ by making me put it in my own words : ”When you think about the first film, what one image comes into your head?” raid : “Luke blowing up the Death Star.” ”And when you think about the last film (at the time) what one image comes into your head?” raid : “One ship very very slowly chasing another ship.” Quote

Mr_Danger Posted October 15, 2021 Posted October 15, 2021 The Force Awakens was the best of the sequels with slightly diminishing returns over the course of the other two films. Quote
Paid Members SpiritOfTheForest Posted October 15, 2021 Paid Members Posted October 15, 2021 Dawn of the Dead is better than Night of the Living Dead. I get that Night was revolutionary but the sequel takes things to a whole other level. Quote
