A lovely full length episode (a film I suppose?) which is fairly dark in parts and so well written and acted. I think it's a great little series I really do. Also after the recent chat, I watched a few episodes of Harry Enfields Television Programme and Harry Enfield and Chums and while its not as funny as it was when I was 7 or 8, it's still great. I love Enfield and Whitehouse. There was one line I've just watched in a Lee and Lance sketch where one of them says "fat blokes sweat more, it's part of their culture" which got me going. I'll definitely watch the rest. Quote

I've been trying to get my sister to watch it but she's part way through season one and thinks it takes itself too seriously, she just needs to hang on there. I do think it shouldn't have ended the way it did. The final episode is rubbish, if it had ended on the episode before, I think it would have been a perfect send off. Quote

I mean, I’m clearly the demographic for a show like this - love all the fly on the wall stuff specifically as it pertains to that position on the field, and just getting an insight into how it’s done at the highest level. Enjoyed Joe Flacco as the been there, done it all, aging gunslinger though his son is clearly a liability at the Quarterback position, he may only be 9 or 10 years old, but his draft stock will have plummeted after this! Cam Ward was a big surprise to me - I’ve always, almost snobbishly, praised the college/draft system for churning out intelligent, articulate athletes when you compare it to the average post match interview on Match of the Day for example, but Ward has the demeanour and vocabulary of a pubescent 15yr old and yet still, steals the entire season with an on air confession that he was hoping to smash the shit out of some school children in a dodgeball game. Very little to report on Jayden Daniel’s who obviously had a tough season with injuries, but didn’t have the personality to carry the sort of access you give a show like this, not to mention having one of those sports mums desperate to making everything about them - no thanks. Which brings me to Baker Mayfield. Yeah, big fan. Undersized but with giant bollocks. Sweary. Loves his shit talk. Star of the season for me, very much my kind of character and very rootable for as a neutral. Another enjoyable SERIES overall, has anyone watched the Reciever version? Will need to check that out between now and the new season I reckon. I think most of all I came away really missing that feeling of camaraderie and the excitement of going out to compete, whoever the opposition, however inevitable the beating. I fed the ducks recently and my shoulder ached for a day afterwards, I recently yawned and swallowed at the same time and got a cramp in my throat - I know those days are long gone, but boy do shows like this make me pine for them. If I had to rank the QB’s featured so far based on personality and who I found most interesting/watchable (not necessarily likeable), I reckon it’s: Kirk Cousins Baker Mayfield Cam Ward Joe Flacco Joe Burrow Jared Goff Marcus Mariota Jayden Daniels Patrick Mahomes Quote

They’re still good episodes, but below the standard it’s set for itself. Its been renewed for two more Series beyond this latest one too Quote

Diane Morgan as a robot assistant, on a BBC sitcom, sounds like it should be whatever the equivalent to wrestlecrap for TV is. However, she plays an absolute blinder, and is superb in it. Some proper laugh out loud moments from her in this. Once you realise she never blinks, then it does become distracting just seeing how long she goes without doing so during scenes. At least to me it did! Shes supported well on this one with Sue Johnson, and the man from Motherland, who is essentially playing the man from Motherland. Not a bad thing though, as hes great in it, as is his wife. Quote

Granted, some of it was predictable but the execution was tremendous. I would welcome a second series - is there anything that Morgan has been in that was shit? I can't think of anything... Quote
