Its following the same trend as Srinking for me. Just a downward spiral in terms of quality, to the point I wonder if somehow Apple have meddled in them or restricted them in some way. Or maybe just the writers have got lazy.

 

To counter balance this shiteness, Platonic is a cracker of a watch, and definitely has vibes of Colin From Accounts/Shrinking. Speaking of, Colin From Accounts is back with a new series too, and its been very enjoyable so far. 

 

To round this off, we have just finished watching Derry Girls. Its shit, isnt it? Complete mess of a show, with things just thrown into it at random which serves no point. You have a feeling watching it in the last series that the writer thinks she's doing something much better than whay she actually is. Guess im not the target market for the audience, but always thought this was wildly popular at the time, but cant really see why.

I've never really got Derry Girls. Funny in places but trying too hard. I like the actors more on podcasts than I like the show. There was a short lived show called London Irish that I liked much more.

I thought Derry Girls was really good, though tailed off a bit in the last series. The new series the same team did, How to Get to Heaven From Belfast, for Netflix was all over the place though.

I don't know what thread to pop it in because it's also a WWE production apparently, but they're doing a documentary about Mr T on Netflix. I have idolise him since I was a kid watching him on the A-Team at my gran's on a Saturday tea time. The cartoon, the weird lawyer show thing that was on Sky One at 10am on a Sunday morning (T&T) Be Somebody or Be Somebody's Fool, World's Craziest Fools on BBC3, I downloaded his rap album.

I can't remember whether I brought it with me when I left the ex, but I had a copy of Street Fleet/DC Cab on video that I never watched, but would just stick on a mantelpiece to admire. Good grief. I'm so hyped for it. Here's a trailer. I'm sure Triple H will shoehorn himself in there.

For reasons known only to me, I've started watching Sex and the City and a few episodes in it's pretty fun and I can see why it was so popular. I hate every man in it though, so maybe I really am the target audience.

I can't get the It's Always Sunny episode Who Pooped The Bed? out of my head though, when Dee, Artemis and the waitress parody it.

Samantha, Carrie, Charlotte, Miranda if anyone is interested in my fancied order.

I wasn't sure where to put this but The Bear has been nominated for an Emmy in the best Comedy category. Can someone please explain to me how it is a comedy?! I enjoyed The Bear but I don't remember it ever making me laugh, in fact it was a little dark and depressing - I will admit I skipped the last series for a variety of reasons but unless there has been a huge change in direction I would describe it as a drama not a comedy. What am I missing? Or has my cognitive decline gone in to hyper drive and it's an absolute hoot but I've got it mixed up with Game of Thrones or something

Your view is generally what most people think. It has some funny moments but it's absolutely not a comedy first and foremost. The award placement is more tactical than anything.

There's a rich history of this at the Emmys, TV producers just seem to nominate their shows in 'categories we think we could win' rather than 'categories that make sense'. 

For what it's worth, the times the Bear tried to be funny - The Faks and John Cena's character - I found to be toe-curlingly awful.

Yeah I was puzzled by this a couple of years ago when the same thing happened. I didn’t realise the producers of the show got to decide which category they were submitted under/eligible for. I thought it was the awards people finding a work around to give it a bunch of awards despite Shogun deservedly picking up the major drama ones that year, but it was actually the producers ducking the competition in the drama category.

The Bear went from one of my favourite shows to a show I disliked to the point I have no intention of watching the final season at all. That awful third season where it became increasingly obvious they were just dragging things out and had completely fallen in love with their own hype did a number on me.

I think I tapped out on The Bear during season 3. It was just a miserable affair and I hated nearly everybody in it, hoping they would fail.
