Thefatduck Posted September 18 Posted September 18 Absolutely love silo. Don’t watch a massive amount of telly; poor concentration and lack of interest in stuff but Silo was an exception. claustrophobic. Tense. Great slow builds for the two timelines / story lines. I started series one wondering, ‘how did they end up in there?’. turns out I now know. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ would recommend. Quote
Tim Healys Chutney Spoon Posted September 23 Posted September 23 'The Wargame'- brilliant and gripping and well made including some really important people in roles that realistically they'd have. I know Gove and Sturgeon arent everyones cup of tea, granted, but they are actually very good seeing a different side of them in a serious role. Also makes you realise how much pressure they would be under in a situation like that and having to make huge decisions. Well worth a watch on Sky1 Quote
Merzbow Posted October 2 Posted October 2 The new season of Blue Lights has really stepped up, without going in to spoilers it's connecting years long stories and going far deeper in to conspiratorial corners than usual. The pace is definitely much slower as it goes on though, it's a shift but a great one. Quote

Mr_Danger Posted Wednesday at 05:28 PM Posted Wednesday at 05:28 PM Started Slow Horses and two things have stood out so far. One is that it’s not just a high end New Tricks like I’d always assumed and the other is just how big a part farting is of Gary Oldman’s character. Can see why Jack Lowden is going to be a big star. Not loving the lack of Olivia Cooke, assuming she got offered Game of Thrones just after she signed her one series contract with Slow Horses or something. Quote
Dai Posted Wednesday at 05:53 PM Posted Wednesday at 05:53 PM (edited) We had the discussion weeks ago about The Bear, and how it started great but most people quit watching. Speaking just for myself and the people I know who starting watching it, I think all of us have stopped watching it. Cant remember if it was season 4 or 5, but it definitely was forgettable and just felt like it should finish, and ive never gone back. Dont know anyone now who has kept up with it, or look forward to new seasons. Edit - whilst im here, I assume it was @SuperBacon who said that they rewatched Stath Let's Flats recently. Thanks for saying, as we started watching it after that, and have really enjoyed it. Really gets into its grove in season 2. Most days we now say "Ive spilled my energy drink!". So many great performances, with Katy Wix being outstanding again. Edited Wednesday at 06:47 PM by Dai Quote
