I didn't know Dungeons & Dragons was by the Game Night guys so I'm looking forward to it quite a lot now. Game Night is just terrific.

Exactly my reaction when I heard an interview with them both yesterday. One of them was the geeky little brother in Freaks and Geeks too.

It's obviously not as funny, because it's not a straight up comedy, but found it much funnier then expected. It felt like an action film throwback. Could be this years Top Gun Maverick in that it will surprise people in how good it is and will probably have a long run at the box office. It deserves it.

Chris Pine deserves to be a bigger star. The guy is absolutely brilliant and was the only good thing about those JJ STAR TREK films.

He would have been huge years back but unfortunately we do not live in a world that makes the sort of films he would be great in, so if he can make a franchise work and picot into better stuff then I am all for it.

Might watch UNSTOPPABLE tonight and toast him

Fast and Furious 5,6 and 7. I like watching these three as a trio from time to time as everything notches up a gear once the Rock gets involved. Still cried at the end of 7.

Let's not forget his finest role as hapless new recruit Mitch in 11/10 comedy Waiting.

I’ll never turn on the automatic download of media setting on WhatsApp for fear of ‘The Brain’. I’ve been burnt TOO many times.

Dungeons & Dragons: Honour Amongst Thieves (cinema). My two eldest kids were both away last night so went with my wife and 10 year old son who is currently getting in to D&D. Loved it. It's funny, good script and one I'll definitely rewatch when it comes out on more nefarious methods. There's plenty of easter eggs from the game and me and my son were nudging each other a couple of times. There's also a 2 second cameo from D&D nerd Tom Morello in a crowd scene.

I love proper Matinée style popcorn flicks and as such Dungeons and Dragons will probably be my favourite thing I see at the cinema this year.

It also really helped my little girl deal with some anxieties she's been suffering with recently so it gets a double thumbs up.

The Super Mario Bros Movie plays it safe, but that’s not a bad thing. Enough Easter eggs for us older gamers, pretty by the numbers plot, but it kept me smiling throughout. If you’ve got younger kids, this is the film to see this Easter, but if they are a bit older, Dungeons and Dragons.

Really enjoyed Dungeons and Dragons. Laughed out loud a few times and it even manages to hit quite an emotional punch.

Overly excited to be taking my daughter to Mario this afternoon.

Super Mario Movie

Was OK. Probably something I'll never watch again. It's not remotely funny though, even for smaller children I'd say (mine are 10 and 13) so it's all a bit mediocre.

I will say that Donkey Kong is the role Seth Rogen was born to play though, it fits incredibly well.

Did get to have a McDonald's breakfast so that's always a bonus.

New cinema chain as well. Reel Cinemas. £10 for all 3 of us, which for a brand new film, is outstanding. I'd pay that just so I could have a kip to be honest.

Spoiler

I was elated to see the kids from the 80s cartoon in the maze scene briefly, instantly one of my fave easter eggs ever, I love that cartoon.

Also enjoyed Michelle Rodriguez having hairy pits, about time a barbarian woman wasn't improbably well groomed.
