HOSTAGE WATCH: WWE Stranded In Saudi

The Vince thing seems so uncharacteristic of him. Say what you want about him, but he's such a control freak that I can't imagine him just leaving people who work for him behind without him being there to visibly be 'present' and in charge of things. The fact that he's gotten the hell out of there really does suggest something significant must be up.

Theoretically speaking, who would be in charge over in Saudi with Vince, HHH and Dunn not being over there?

Like somebody's gotta be the guy left in charge of getting everyone back and that sentence alone sounds so unreal from anything known of Vince and his control freak methods.

Christmas bonus is gonna be wonderful for those talent though.

It’d be like Designated Survivor but with K Kwik with a megaphone.

You'd imagine whoever the most senior road agent/"producer" who travelled is in charge of making sure the talent don't run amok.

There'll presumably be some fairly senior office worker over there who is in charge of actually sorting it out.

Flights are scheduled. That includes private jets for runway allocation and air space. Vince didn’t hot foot it out. Him and Brock and Hogan, and whoever else was deemed necessary were always supposed to leave before the rest.

statement from the airline

A representative for Atlas Air issued the following statement, via Pro Wrestling Sheet, through WWE:

“A chartered WWE passenger flight operated by Atlas Air is currently delayed in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia due to a mechanical issue. The flight was scheduled to depart at 0300 local time on November 1. Our top priority is always to ensure our passengers arrive safely and on time at their destination. The aircraft is being repaired and will be inspected and certified before returning to service to transport our passengers to their final destination. We regret that operational disruptions delayed the flight and apologize to our passengers who were inconvenienced.”

the delay in releasing a statement smells of cover up. It’s the new Montreal Screwjob for conspiracy theories

Seems like much ado about fuck all in all honesty. I was travelling a few months back and the plane had "mechanical issues," resulting in my flight being grounded for around eight hours, and this was a standard flight in a busy airport on a route that is travelled every day.

Think there's too much being read into it.
