CavemanLynn
As much as u lurve Hemsworth, he needs to stop skipping leg day. When your man's big move is the Leg Drop of Doom, you need some tree trunks, not strawberry laces.
Paid Members BomberPat Posted November 22, 2020 Paid Members Share Posted November 22, 2020 I just don't understand what the narrative arc of a Hulk Hogan movie will be. It's not going to cover his whole career, so will likely end at WM3 by the sounds of things. But it's not like he's Bruno overcoming childhood infirmity and surviving the Nazis, or Flair coming back from the plane crash, he's a huge bloke who was very quickly a star everywhere he went and then remained that way - in the scope of the movie, there's no real threat to his position. So where's the stakes, where's the peril?

Shane O' Mac Version 2
They could play it up until his 2002 return- I don't know if a timeline has actually been confirmed- but that way the stakes could revolve around being the WWF's top star, leaving to go to WCW, and then returning "home" to wrap the movie up. CavemanLynn
Judging by that photo, he's going for his ripped to the gills WCW/NWO look, and not the Dennys and Dianabol for breakfast look of his WWF prime.
stewdogg
Or maybe Hemsworth is just working out and posting it on Instagram like he has done for the past few years?Ā

Well there is a ready made Oscar worthy scene where he hasĀ to make the tough decision as to whether or not to continueĀ wrestling or become the new bass player in Metallica, or the scene of him frantically trying to get home so that he doesnāt miss the call fromĀ the Lean Mean Grilling Machine people before they move onto George Foreman Edited November 22, 2020 by WyattSheepMask
Paid Members Supremo Posted November 22, 2020 Paid Members Share Posted November 22, 2020 It could easily end on the heart-wrenching scene where he attends Andre the GiantāsĀ funeral a week after Powerslamming him at Wrestlemania 3.Ā
The Cutting Edge
He's training/getting ready to start shooting new Thor movie in January. I've watched a few videos from fitness guys talking about him having to get Hogan big, but the Hulkster was never ripped he was always thick and stocky so if anything Chris looks too good to play hulk at this pointĀ

So where's the stakes, where's the peril? Surely it'll justĀ be the old "Wrestling only existed in small, dingy clubs and was run by crooks before Hulk and Vince came along and made it mainstream" story? You'll get Hogan as the nice guy who just wants to entertain people and put smiles on kids faces, fighting against the politics and bullying of the wrestling business. Big scene at the start will be Hiro Matsuda breaking Hogan's leg on his first day of training, because he just wouldn't quit, brother. There will probably beĀ a bit where an old school promoter refuses to give Hogan "The Belt", despite his popularity,Ā because he's "not a real wrestler" and end it with him proving everybody wrong at Wrestlemania 3.
