Paid Members Jazzy G Posted March 13, 2019 Paid Members Share Posted March 13, 2019 (edited) He played drums on Just Dropped In To See What Condition My Condition Was In. What an amazing song. From a list of other amazing songs. That Richard Harris version of McArthur Park is pretty damned special as well. Paid Members BomberPat Posted March 20, 2019 Paid Members Share Posted March 20, 2019 (edited) Yuya Uchida, Japanese pop/rock star and founder member of the Flower Travellin' Band. That song was released several months before Black Sabbath's Masters Of Reality, in 1971. Just an absolute fucking juggernaut of a track. Uchida was in a weird position at this point; no longer the band's frontman, but still producing the album, and in something of a "creative director" role. He also played a prison commander in Merry Christmas, Mr Lawrence, and had a bizarre turn as a Yakuza/kung fu expert/rock star/ghost in Deadly Outlaw: Rekka, an absolutely bonkers film by Takashi Miike. Moderators Chest Rockwell Posted March 20, 2019 Moderators Share Posted March 20, 2019 That's awesome. Cheers for that. Is it just me or does that bit at 53 seconds sound like Slayer borrowed from it heavily?
Paid Members seph Posted March 20, 2019 Paid Members Share Posted March 20, 2019 It certainly sounds like a Slayer riff played with the same kit used in Electric Funeral.

That's no age, is it. He was the go to guy for Ireland reports in the Mick McCarthy Vs Roy Keane feud. Real shame.
