Paid Members IANdrewDiceClay Posted March 4, 2019 Paid Members Share Posted March 4, 2019 This day keeps getting worse for those the 90s shaggers. As Baz said, he was great in Oz. Buried in the wall and blown up. Still survived. His son works for AEW, strangely enough.
Merzbow
That's awful. He'd been looking great in Riverdale too, a proper big comeback.

Paid Members bAzTNM#1 Posted March 9, 2019 Paid Members Share Posted March 9, 2019 (edited) Jan Michael Vincent was alright. He was in some good stuff but his demons got in the way and everything went to shit. He had all the chances in the world. Paid Members Jazzy G Posted March 9, 2019 Paid Members Share Posted March 9, 2019 I thought he might only have been in his 50s, but then remember that he was in the "Danger Island" segments on the Banana Splits in the 60s. Can't believe he was 74. Airwolf was a cornerstone of 80s that Glen Larson/Aaron Spelling Saturday teatime telly alongside Knight Rider, The A-Team and Streethawk.

Paid Members BomberPat Posted March 12, 2019 Paid Members Share Posted March 12, 2019 (edited) https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-47537451 Hal Blaine, aged 90. Even if you don't think you've ever heard his music, you absolutely have. He played drums on "Be My Baby" by the Ronettes, possibly the most iconic drumbeat of all time. This list is phenomenal; https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_recordings_of_songs_Hal_Blaine_has_played_on  Edited March 12, 2019 by BomberPat
FailedPromoter
Aye iconic drummer. I think it was Neil Peart that was once quoted as saying his six favourite drummers are all Hal Blaine.  *Taken from his Wiki: Blaine played drums on 40 recordings that hit number one on the Billboard Hot 100, including: "Johnny Angel" – Shelley Fabares "He's a Rebel" – The Crystals "Surf City" – Jan & Dean "I Get Around" – The Beach Boys "Everybody Loves Somebody" – Dean Martin "Ringo" – Lorne Greene "This Diamond Ring" – Gary Lewis & the Playboys "Help Me, Rhonda" – The Beach Boys "Mr Tambourine Man" – The Byrds "Eve of Destruction" – Barry McGuire "My Love" – Petula Clark "These Boots Are Made for Walkin'" – Nancy Sinatra "Monday Monday" – The Mamas & the Papas "Strangers in the Night" – Frank Sinatra "Poor Side of Town" – Johnny Rivers "Good Vibrations" – The Beach Boys "Somethin' Stupid" – Frank & Nancy Sinatra "The Happening" – The Supremes "Windy" – The Association "Mrs. Robinson" – Simon & Garfunkel "Dizzy" – Tommy Roe "Aquarius/Let the Sunshine In" – The 5th Dimension "Love Theme from Romeo and Juliet" – Henry Mancini "Wedding Bell Blues" – The 5th Dimension "Bridge Over Troubled Water" – Simon & Garfunkel "(They Long to Be) Close to You" – The Carpenters "Cracklin' Rosie" – Neil Diamond "I Think I Love You" – The Partridge Family "Indian Reservation" – The Raiders "Song Sung Blue" – Neil Diamond "Half Breed" – Cher "Annie's Song" – John Denver "Top of the World" – The Carpenters "The Way We Were" – Barbra Streisand "Thank God I'm a Country Boy" – John Denver "Love Will Keep Us Together" – Captain & Tennille "I'm Sorry"/"Calypso" – John Denver "Theme from Mahogany (Do You Know Where You're Going To)" – Diana Ross And that is JUST number 1's! The link Pat posted above has even more greats mentioned. Edited March 12, 2019 by FailedPromoter
Paid Members BomberPat Posted March 13, 2019 Paid Members Share Posted March 13, 2019 Someone put together a Spotify playlist of songs that use the Be My Baby intro, and it's about 250 tracks long.
