Paid Members BomberPat Posted January 18, 2018 Paid Members Share Posted January 18, 2018 I think it sounds brilliant! My niece is six, and absolutely obsessed with Lego, paper-craft, and anything that involves building something and then being able to play out a story with what she's built. This would blow her mind. Beyond that, it's just the beginning. If it picks out, the software seems (probably deceptively) simple, so there could be any number of other applications for it, and more complex models and set-ups - it doesn't have to be aimed solely at children, either, they could always release more complicated variants later on, or variants geared towards local multiplayer and party games. I'm very keen!
westlondonmist
Cardboard replacements not provided http://www.nintendolife.com/news/2018/01/nintendo_confirms_it_wont_be_freely_supplying_extra_cardboard_replacements_for_labo Even as an adult I think I would enjoy this, so may consider getting it but at £60 and £70 it seems very expensive. Keith Houchen
Started Witcher 3. Still all the tutorial stuff but looking good. Don’t think I can be bothered with that card game stuff though.

Guy Bifkin
Yes I didn't bother with Gwent until near the end of the game and regret it now. Very addictive once you figure it out.
Merzbow
There's a seperate standalone Gwent game now, it'll have it's own single player campaign too.
Paid Members PunkStep Posted January 18, 2018 Paid Members Share Posted January 18, 2018 It's a lot more complex than the Witcher 3 version. Since the last major upgrade, I still need to get used to it as they changed a lot of the cards again.
Paid Members SpursRiot2012 Posted January 18, 2018 Paid Members Share Posted January 18, 2018 I can never get good at those card games. There's always a meta and I always get in too late, so I never have any good cards.
Moderators Chest Rockwell Posted January 18, 2018 Moderators Share Posted January 18, 2018 Keith, if you don't get distracted by Gwent and then never finish the main quest as a result you're playing the game wrong.
Paid Members Jazzy G Posted January 19, 2018 Paid Members Share Posted January 19, 2018 I guess the Mario cereal Amiibo thing was a test run for NFC cardboard. It does seem like a great idea.
Merzbow
Has anyone tried the Metal Gear Survive beta? I'd rather take a nuke up the arse than play a post Kojima MG myself but I'm still interested in how it plays.

Any suggestions on a decent game to download now? If you've still got that voucher to spend - The new sale has Tomb raider for £4.99 and Sleeping Dogs for £3.99. I enjoyed both of those games. Moderators Chest Rockwell Posted January 19, 2018 Moderators Share Posted January 19, 2018 Rise of the tomb raider was an excellent game. Can't go wrong with that for a fiver!

Paid Members BigJag Posted January 21, 2018 Paid Members Share Posted January 21, 2018 Lots of video game references in this upcoming film. Has anyone read the book it's based on?
