Good for you Pat. Well done.

Link to order?

I just edited the original post, as the Kindle link was made available moments after I posted it!

That's the pre-order for the Kindle edition. I'm not able to set up a pre-order for the paperback edition, but that will go live first thing on Monday 27th November.

If you'll excuse the cheap plug, my first book Kayfabe: A Mostly True History of Professional Wrestling will be out in one week's time, on Monday November 27th 2023.

It's a history of wrestling from the nineteenth century carnival cons and vaudeville shows, through the advent of television, the rise of MMA, all the way up to the present day, with specific focus on the idea of Kayfabe, and of why wrestling became the weird halfway house between sports and entertainment that is, and how Kayfabe has been reshaped and reinforced throughout its history.

It will be available to order in paperback from Amazon on 27th November.

The Kindle edition is available to pre-order right now - https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0CNPTQD75?ref_=pe_93986420_775043100

I must admit I don't read nearly as much as I'd like to. My brain's far too all over the place for that. BUT I'll make an exception for this. I'll order the paperback once it's up :)

How long did it take you to write? I find the writing process just as interesting as the books themselves sometimes!

It began as a lockdown project, so roughly three years all told, though there were several months of inactivity in there, and a lot of just tinkering with it during quiet patches at work.

Lovely stuff, gonna bags a paperback once it's up too. Was looking for a well written, familiar sort of wrestling book for Christmas. Was going to re-read Nitro but this one will do nicely.

Well, I’m halfway through and it is safe to say that this is one of the most mental things I have read; and I’ve read ‘Ulysses’

Yeah, it certainly makes you think of Davey Boy Smith in a different light, among other people.
