RedTwoster Posted March 15 Posted March 15 Adam Lambert’s cover of Believe is sensational, it absolutely transforms the song: I’m undecided whether or not this beats the original, but for me it at least equals it… I’m not a huge fan of Paramore, but I love Hayley Williams’ version of Use Somebody: A much better known one now - Gary Jules’ version of Mad World blows the original out of the water for me: And I feel similarly about Placebo’s cover of Running Up That Hill- possibly due to its use in an excellent video package during the HBK/Undertaker feud. Paid Members SpiritOfTheForest Posted March 15 Paid Members Posted March 15 I much prefer Quiet Riot's "Cum On Feel The Noize" to Slade's. Pity they never changed the daft spelling though. Quiet Riot's is likely the more well-known now thanks to Vice City. I find it hard to believe that Goin' Blind was originally a Kiss song. Such a gritty, cool track. More controversial perhaps: I absolutely love Limp Bizkit's take on "Behind Blue Eyes" and never really cared about The Who. There are many more but don't want to spam too many links in one post. The obvious winner is Johnny Cash - Hurt but we all know that one. On the subject of Cash though, his cover of One by U2 is often overlooked because of how colossal Hurt is. One though, is just as incredible in my opinion and aeons beyond the original. Quote
