AEW All In: London (2026) Discussion

The Bucks retiring has been mentioned a few times on here. Have they hinted at it? I know they have been around a while now but they are both pretty young still? Or is it due to wear and tear?

Because of this, it also made it REALLY obvious whether or not something was going to happen post-match. If there was nothing, the cameras wouldn't show anything. If there was going to be some shenanigans or something (like after the tag match), the cameras would stay on. In the ring, they kept the tension going a little after Fletcher raised Okada's hand, but it was obvious he wasn't going to do a sudden turn, because the cameras would have stayed on.

It's not a major thing, but it took just a little tension out of things for me.

Did they all know who was coming next, in kayfabe? My interpretation of mystery entrant/wild card is invariably that it's a surprise to the other competitors as much as (if not more so) than the fans - and that's how I saw this one.

Swerve had made some veiled threats about being involved, but nothing announced.

On reflection, the better way to do it (IMO) would have been for the Wild Card to be selected on the roulette wheel and Swerve's music hit just as the pre-show was timing out, leaving who his partners were as the cliffhanger for the PPV starting and giving a reason for everyone in the ring to stop - they had the same cliffhanger.

The Young Bucks have said the current contract they're on will be their last and it expires next year.

Matt has mentioned wanting to retire for awhile and they genuinely considered retiring before signing the current contract. I think Matt in particular is fairly banged up and they've put in the years and want to go out before they're too physically fucked up or burnt out. They invested most their money into real estate and are apparently financially set for life.

There isn't much else to say, that was a fantastic show.

Looking back at the main events from their last four stadium shows, they've had a pretty incredible run:

• 2026: Kenny Omega (c) vs. Will Ospreay
• 2025: Jon Moxley (c) vs. "Hangman" Adam Page — Texas Death Match
• 2024: Swerve Strickland (c) vs. Bryan Danielson — Title vs. Career
• 2023: MJF (c) vs. Adam Cole

All four have been excellent and they've all managed to end the shows with those big feel-good moments. There seems to be so much positivity around AEW and All In online at the moment, so hopefully they can use that momentum and get a bit of a boost from it.

I'm really interested to see what they do next year. With Dynasty moving from April to February, I wonder if they'll look at running a (slightly) bigger venue for Revolution in April, followed by another baseball stadium for All In. I can still remember the absolute slog they had selling tickets for All In Texas, I'm hoping they get a better response next year.

WWE still haven't announced a date for the Saudi Mania show in April. I can't see TK deliberately putting a show on the same day, but running a big AEW PPV somewhere close to it would definitely be interesting.

On BTE this week Matt mentions a few times that this was the last big match they have left to do in their careers.

However I would expect New Level must be there as well.

It’s pretty remarkable that they’ve managed to run four main events at their biggest show of the year featuring completely different people; with no one as of yet headlining twice.

Feel like Okada/Fletcher/Takeshita should have been based around Fletcher & Okada working together with Takeshita putting in an underdog performance then Okada gradually getting more and more sneaky leading to rising tension to Fletcher going nuts on him. They mostly just did flashy stuff for 15 minutes straight. The story of the match was completely missing. On top of that Okada put in an incredible comedy performance throughout. I had fun with it but it feels like it could have been so much more. Takeshita feels like a complete afterthought and I don't think a feud between Okada/Fletcher is the way to go. Fletcher needs a babyface turn like a hole in the head.

I think Takeshita is really struggling, presentation-wise, from the dual contract with NJPW. Every time he should be capitalising on momentum, he fucks off to Japan for a couple of weeks. He's not firmly established enough in his role to be a special attraction who only shows up occasionally, so it just means a lot of really stop-start work.

I don't want to see Kyle turn face any time soon, not least of all because they still haven't really paid off Andrade or Takeshita leaving the Don Callis Family - they've just kind of moved on, and Don has never got his comeuppance. I hope Don manages to paper over the cracks and keep Kyle on-side, maybe by getting him a title match with Ospreay. 

Kyle Fletcher and Kazuchika Okada are both the perfect Don Callis guys to me. Okada because of the history with Omega, and because he's the one guy in the faction who has it in him to be smarmier and more manipulative than Don, and is clearly just using him to make his life easier (and whether Don knows and just allows it because he gets the money, or if he's oblivious to it, the story still works), and Kyle is at his best when he's completely devoted to Don Callis - he doesn't just believe the bullshit, he wears the same suits, dresses in the same colour scheme. Kyle snapping at Don Callis about not being treated right isn't a version of Kyle Fletcher I care for at the moment - and, again, that's partly because "falls out with Don Callis because Don isn't getting him the matches he wants" just happened with Andrade. Which is fine if they ever pay off the story of the size of the Family meaning Don's attention is spread thin, and him being distracted by every shiny new toy means he takes his existing wrestlers for granted, but there's no real sign of them doing that.

That main event was probably one of the great modern day wrestling match presentations. As a show, the stretch from the sun setting onwards was what put it over the top, for me. The tag match, the Darby and Sting stuff and that very good Nightingale vs Mone match along the way. 

As ever, there were hours of stuff that didn't click for me. Tons and tons of bodies, but without much reason to care. It would go up a notch when it focused on a select few at the end. Thought Benjamin and Lashley looked good in their match, actually; a different level. I was quite up for the Big Boom man and all those hijinks, glad they made the trip. In a massive stadium like Wembley, something a bit more... exaggerated (?) is a help. 

Thought the Gauntlet was a bit disappointing, felt there had to be more surprise entrants after the last one they put on there. It was decent still. There was nothing bad on the PPV at all, I don't think. It was a strong showcase of what AEW is and I think also a good gateway into it, for those who did come on a cheaper ticket. 

But yeah, the main event is the thing people most will remember and rightly so. Omega was outstanding, especially given his previous health issues, which weren't really apparent at all. And they didn't overthink it or overcook the booking. Local lad over clean and strong. 40,000+ sent home happy.

I only just noticed on the umpteenth time of watching it, but Mark Davis gives a little nod as Ospreay goes past the original UE. It's those slight little details that sets AEW apart from the rest at just doing it 'right'

 

Overall I feel that All In Wembley is probably done now. I think if they used the Spurs stadium and the huge South Stand as the entrance way and then having about 50k fans around the rest of the bowl and pitch would possibly look better as there'd be little need for tarpaulin and coverings if seats arent sold as they are dark anyway. Although I doubt there'd be much support for the Fulham owners putting money into another PL club!

 

Loved the genuine reactions to the likes of Danielson, Britt, Thekla, Sting, New Level and Jericho that weren't entirely expected. Of course the absolute roar and explosion of noise for the main event was phenomenal and brilliant brilliant reactions throughout.

This was the first full live aew ppv I've ever watched and it was unbelievable literally every match on that main card was fantastic 

 

However one major negative was there constant enjoyment of the wide camera shot of the full crowd every 3 minutes they missed big moves, they missed the start and Fletcher superkicking ocada at the start of the match all the time and it infuriated me so much because it was important shit they missed for a shot of that part of the stadium like it had trippled in a nanosecond 

 

Apart from that the main event was utter perfection and one of the best matches I've ever seen with the right ending without controversy or outside entities which made it spectacular
