For me Clive it's a minimum of 10 games ban. Ten games isn't enough. He shouldn't be allowed to referee at the top level again, it's not like this is the first time he's proven himself to be completely incompetent. Quote
Dai Posted March 10, 2025 Posted March 10, 2025 The Chairman of the BBC has said that Match Of The Day should have less highlights and more analysis, which seems like the most idiotic thing I've heard in ages. Even as it is now, does anyone actually listen to the likes of Rooney and Shay Given ramble on for over five minutes with their boring analysis of a game? Does anyone watch Match of the Day and not slip foward the post match interviews? Can't see how anyone really wants to see 10 minutes of fluff talking about an instantly forgettable lower mid table match. It should actually be the opposite to what the Chairman has said, in my opinion. I think far more people would watch it if it became like the highlights you see on YouTube these days, with zero post match analysis or interviews. Quote

Paid Members hallicks Posted March 11, 2025 Paid Members Posted March 11, 2025 I’m sure there are people who enjoy listening to Ashley Williams reading from a leaflet about traffic cones, even if it’s not to my taste. There should be less replays during the highlights. Not everything needs 3 replays, but everything they show seems to get them. As if we need to hear more of Guy Mowbray’s opinion about anything. Paid Members Devon Malcolm Posted March 11, 2025 Author Paid Members Posted March 11, 2025 Even if I don't give a shit about United anymore, that Jim Ratcliffe interview is fury-inducing. It shouldn't sit well with anyone seeing two rich men sitting there talking about the need to sack hundreds of people because otherwise the club will run out of money by the end of the year. The sheer fucking idiocy of it. Quote
Tim Healys Chutney Spoon Posted March 11, 2025 Posted March 11, 2025 And then to announce spending nigh on £2BILLION on a new stadium.... Quote
Mr_Danger Posted March 11, 2025 Posted March 11, 2025 Designed by Billy Smart no less. I’d be skeptical about that ever getting built if I was United fan. Quote

Ironic Indie Lad Posted March 11, 2025 Posted March 11, 2025 An utterly insane interview. Why did he do that?! Was he that gotten to by the relentless bad press lately? Thats how it came off as he repeatedly referenced it. Quote
BrodyGraham Posted March 16, 2025 Posted March 16, 2025 I don't care it's the Carabao, I'm not apologising for who owns us, I just rang my Dad after watching OUR club win a trophy. I never thought I'd get to make that call. What's better is that we deserved that. Strangled the best team in the League. It's Big Dan Burn's world and we're all just living in it. Quote

I was resigned to feeling like the lads had done their best but lost to the better team with more quality. It's happened before. But every single one of them was fucking class and we fully deserved that victory. Chuffed for the team, chuffed for the manager and chuffed for city. Hopefully it's the first of many more to come. Members SuperBacon Posted March 16, 2025 Members Posted March 16, 2025 Fair play to Newcastle, they were absolutely fantastic, and Kieran Trippier gets an update on my spreadsheet, the ultimate accolade. Saudis celebrating tonight like its September 2001. Quote

Literally came into this thread to say “at least Trippier was already on the spreadsheet.” Fair play to Newcastle. Horrendous that fans of such a club have had to wait so long. Quote
FailedPromoter Posted March 17, 2025 Posted March 17, 2025 Lads, I'm in bits (insert Khasoggi joke here) but fuck me, being there today was unreal. Seeing my team finally win a trophy. Amazing. The hangover tomorrow may kill me off like. ? Quote
Mr_Danger Posted March 17, 2025 Posted March 17, 2025 I’d just like to apologise to everyone that the good guys of football couldn’t hold the gates from the horse punching sports washing evil regime. I’d also like to apologise that we made Dan Burn look like a footballer. Fair fucks they deserved it on the day (if not morally or ethically). All that money and they have Dan Burn scoring in cup finals, what a ride. Quote
