That said, I cling on to the very fond memories of every one of the scant occasions we've beaten them over the last 15 years. Which is a bit how, I imagine, West Ham fans like to think about us.

My favourite was a mate I know who was banging on about how amazing it'll be as we celebrated the win last season when they went down to 9 men and had a perfectly good goal chalked off.

Sorry, are people not meant to celebrate an injury time winner? Should we all just give it all up?

I’m not aware of any perceived rivalry with Spurs. I’ve never met a Liverpool fan who considers it a rivalry. Certainly not on the same level as Chelsea or any of the manufactured Sky rivalries. I’m pretty sure we hate Nottingham Forest more. We mostly beat Spurs. They’ve never been a threat whilst we’ve been good. The only time in recent memory they’ve been better than us we were shite. Even the European cup final I didn’t feel any sort of rivalry and was a bit gutted we didn’t get Ajax.

I dunno, I'd probably have you lot as second favourites behind Bilbao for the Europa, and definitely strong favourites if you end up against United in the final.

On May 8th Spurs are away in the North Pole, on a plastic pitch against a Norwegian team who have a population of 42,000, and who have never got to this stage of the competition. 

Those 400 away fans (who btw are only getting 5 ticketing points for this which seems mad considering its in the arctic circle) could be about to see the most Spurs thing ever.

For all the shit I’ve heard about the league being shit this year (Covid year didn’t count either) it speaks volumes for the standards in other leagues that United and Spurs have done so well in Europe.

There is no point in saying "Europe" in this context.

The fact that United, Spurs and Rangers all went deep into the Europa League actually shows that the standard of the Europa League is shite. Not the standard of the Premier League is amazing.

The standard of the premier league in comparison to other leagues in Europe is very good. Thats why teams like Bournemouth, Forest, Fulham and Brighton can build such competitive teams. It’s got nothing to do with some god given right for English football to be the best or Sky’s ‘Best league in the world’ shite it’s because even without all the financial doping teams are very very rich. 
 

Luckily the plucky good guys of Football have broken the monopoly this year making it even more competitive.

Most of those aren't very good so it's no surprise.
