I haven't seen him much lately, because who wants to watch Liverpool when they're walking the league, but I've always quite liked him. In this scary striker market where so many big money movers/rumoured movers instantly kill attacks/would kill attacks, you can do a lot worse than Nunez's livewire movement. It was always great for everyone around him, and I don't think he'd ever stop a team playing great football. A bit like Morata. Quote

Rumour has it there’s an appearance fee clause blocking him starting games as he’s meant to be off in the summer and we don’t fancy paying an extra £5m. I’ll always have a soft spot for the mad bastard and when Klopp was setting up to play to his strengths I was sure it would eventually work out for him but it became abundantly clear that he’s a bit thick on the field and Slot clearly wants a different kind of forward than what Nunez is willing to be. Even if we beat Burnley away next week, and that's a big IF, Cov and Bristol will probably win anyway to see us into our traditional place of just missing out on the playoffs. Quote

It's definitely a tall order. It has been a really good season though. If we could only be more consistent then I think we'll have a better chance of making the top six next season. I've been impressed with Alex Neil so far, you can see that he cares and wants to help the club do well. Win, lose or draw next week I'll be proud of how well we've done this season. Quote

I don't doubt his graft. He's a likeable player. He's a £65m striker though. £65m. The Nunez comparison is a decent one. He's another proper workhorse who you can't help but like. But an incredible price tag for someone with the finesse of a black rhino. I guess that's why Isak is supposedly worth £150m and City will be able to demand a world record for Haaland. Remember when Chris Wood went to Newcastle for £25m and everyone laughed? Looks better value than a Tesco's Triple Cheese sandwich with a yellow sticker on it now. Quote

Which would be a very Spursy thing for Spurs to do, to be outdone in even being them. United have just been so unstable, with so many false dawns, it's difficult to believe that they'll prevail even against an equally-unstable Spurs. In this regard, it makes it a very intriguing match to anticipate. That's provided neither club shits the bed and goes on to get battered and eliminated by Bilbao and Bødø. Quote
