Gooner Posted January 16, 2025 Posted January 16, 2025 Good win for us last night. Should have won by more goals, but nevermind,. Lewis-Skelly has come in for a few games this and taken his opportunity superbly. We just need to put a run together, similar to the second half of last season and if we do that, it will give us a great chance of reeling Liverpool in and winning the title at the end of the season. What are your thoughts on your team playing the absolute dogshittest football in the league right now and making all those old "HOOOOOOF!" chants very funny as a result? Quote

Paid Members Wretch Posted January 17, 2025 Paid Members Posted January 17, 2025 (edited) Bullshit, we all know Forest are winning it. Mind blowing that I'm a bit gutted we only took four points from Liverpool this season. After the last couple of years, I was hoping and praying for mid-table mediocrity back in August. It's all a bit mad, this. Edited January 17, 2025 by Wretch Quote
Paid Members Lion_of_the_Midlands Posted January 17, 2025 Paid Members Posted January 17, 2025 So Haaland has signed a 9 and a half year contract at City. Does anyone still see him playing there in 2034 or is this a way of getting the maximum amount of money possible out of potential buyers? You'd suspect its the latter but it is interesting to see City now taking a page out of the Chelsea playbook and signing players to lengthy contacts to get around FFP rules. Quote
Mr_Danger Posted January 17, 2025 Posted January 17, 2025 That FFP loop hole has been closed. It’s far more likely that they’re just doing multiple season worth of work in one window with their signings and getting the players tied down ready for whatever punishment they face which I’m guessing includes a lengthy transfer ban. Mr_Danger Posted January 18, 2025 Posted January 18, 2025 Guess who’s gonna win the league? I’ll give you a clue, their best three players are leaving on free transfers and they’re not called Arsenal. Quote
Paid Members Carbomb Posted January 18, 2025 Paid Members Posted January 18, 2025 I didn't know three players were leaving Forest Quote
Members SuperBacon Posted January 18, 2025 Members Posted January 18, 2025 Solanke out for 6 weeks. Can I just say I've always loved the Championship. That pitch invasion when we beat relegation on the last day >>> Quote
Paid Members hallicks Posted January 18, 2025 Paid Members Posted January 18, 2025 Seems like even the more reliably sane Arsenal fans have lost the plot over this Havertz handball tonight. Apart from 90% of the replays showing it to be a clear and definite handball, the fact that the players basically stopped celebrating once they’d all had a word with him was all you needed to know. Embarrassing. How about not leaving Watkins unmarked in the 6 yard box? Might be conducive to defending a lead, who knows. Quote
Awards Moderator Frankie Crisp Posted January 18, 2025 Awards Moderator Posted January 18, 2025 Meanwhile, Jean-Phillipe Mateta quietly goes about his business, en route to the Ballon d’Or. The big mental bastard. Quote
