What always gets me with this and the Fred Dibnah stuff is the untrained silent cameraman had to do all this mad shit as well!

Dull hive mind for a dull topic: When you need to capitalise a letter when typing, do you use Caps lock or the shift key? I fear this will open a can of (dull) worms...

Always caps lock. Using shift, for whatever reason, is slower for me.

I only do this if typing a password so I know it's definitely capitalized, otherwise shift all the way

Shift, I'm not insane. I used to work with a guy who pressed caps lock on and off constantly though and it was just the way he'd been taught going back to College in the early 90s. I'm not sure when the shift key was invented but I don't think he pre-dated it!

I used to work with another guy who only typed with his two index fingers. He wasn't a noob, he'd been a coder for 20 years and he was a good worker but, for whatever reason, he typed like a monkey who'd found a keyboard in a bush.

I leanred to type fast playing Pettigrew's Diary on the Dragon 32, which featured a task where you had to type in phrases fast to stop someone jumping off the Eiffel Tower.  Even when younger I never had much flexibility in my little fingers, so came up with my own method. At school they tried to make me taking a typewriting course where I refused to do the lessons that were supposed to make me learn the "right" way, as I could already type at 70 words per minute which was faster than the teacher.

As I learned on a proper typewriter I'm very much a shift not caps lock person. And I just realised the Dragon 32 only had a shift key and no caps lock (everything seemed to be in caps though), which probably influenced me too.
