I had read a few weeks ago that the mystery illness he had suffered was potentially life threatening but that he was getting better and getting ready to come back. Horrible and totally unexpected. RIP.

Horrible news. Met him a few years ago and seemed like a really nice bloke too. Think he’d also suffered from mental health struggles but not sure what’s actually killed him. Tragic. RIP.

That is downright horrendous news. Tragic whatever way you look at it - from a fan's perspective, we've lost a greatly loved and respected competitor and more importantly, from a human perspective, a young family has lost its father. He was only a few years older than me. 36, fucking hell! Absolutely horrible.

Horrendous at this age. Obviously had some serious demons outside the ring but I know there was talk of illness too but awful and unexpected. RIP.

I didn't realise he had any illness just thought he was away till they could think of something for him. No age that, what terrible news

No matter what you thought of his career this is still shitty news. So young and leaves behind a family. Tragic.

Regardless of whatever was said about his creative work, Windham was a unique individual and leaving behind a young family is tragic. 36 is absolutely no age.
