I’ve just finished Jericho’s second autobiography, Undisputed (found in a chazza).

Seems to have been almost universally praised, but I’m hoping this place can back me up on how piss poor it was. Competently written, but with a timeline all over the place and riddled with mind-boggling mistakes:

• Gets WM 2000, X-Seven and X8 all mixed up, including a photo of Foley in an X-Seven shirt with a caption saying it was WM 2000.
• Lists completely the wrong headliners for his Download debut
• Captions a photo to say there was 25,000 people at said debut, then on the very next page is a photo from the same gig and it says there were 50,000
• Worst of all for me, he gets the name of the show where he won the Undisputed title wrong, twice calling it Armageddon. It’s the fucking title of your book and you don’t know the name of the show where you won the belt!

I’m probably being way too picky and this probably should go in the Dull Men’s Club, but am I wrong?

You are wrong in my opinion. The second book is very fun, it's nowhere near the first (a fantastic book regardless of your opinion on Jericho), it's his third book where the Forbidden Door is fully open and you begin to properly realise, 'Chris are you actually... A bit of an arsehole?' Read that, and then his others books. Go on Ro_y. Double dog dare you!

Maybe I do need to read his third, just to complete the set....!

Perhaps knowing everything I now know about Jericho tainted my reading of the second book.

One thing it made me miss is his late WCW/early WWF whiny heel character. He was so much fun doing that and it's a shame that he's never gone back to it with the freedom he now has.

The third book always seems to be a problem. Partly, not everyone has enough to justify a second autobiography, let alone a third. So you go from 'My best stories!' to 'Other fun stories!' to '...I've got this story, I guess. Christ, there's a lot of pages left to fill.'. Foley's third book was clearly written when he was in a bad mood, and it made him come across badly - it's also where he started to come across as obsessive and creepy around women wrestlers. Whether fairly or not, it's where a lot of opinions started to sour on him, I think.
