Sorry to spoil everyone's fun but I have to say I appreciate the bean consistency. I like a viscous clump of beans. Intimate, local beans who know each other and have a sense of community rather than strangers in an ocean of bean juice. If Onyx2's breakfast looked Southern, those beans are as Northern as it gets.

I think the forum consensus for a long while is that beans should basically be boiled. If the beans pour out easily leaving a clean pan, they're not warmed enough.
