Parker Boudreaux is just ..... shit, isn't he? Those punches to Keith Lee were terrible. Like full on holiday camp punches, the only thing missing was a 'SHALL IIIIIII?'. Hilarious that Keith pretty much just shrugged him off and sent him packing before carrying on looking at Swerve. The tattoo'd chaps kicks weren't much better, but at least he looks like an killer.

The new lad looked shit, too, real bad tats and that hair... It's like Swerve hired a pair of wannabe tough white supremacists.

The women saved a show that started to meander in the second half, both the Mox and FTR matches were pretty dead and then the angle mentioned at the start of the post.

I’ve not seen enough of him in matches to form an accurate opinion to be honest, but more than anything, the last few posts have made me feel sad that we’re not seeing more of Eddie Kingston on Dynamite. I know he fucked up, but surely he’s been on the timeout bench for long enough now?

He got given his dream match with Akiyama, so I'd assumed he was in the good books again.

I kind of view that as throwing him a bone; he’s not been in a major storyline since the Sammy incident, and up until then had been ever-present on Dynamite, in major feuds. I hope that happens again in 2023, even if it takes a heel turn for that to happen.

This House of Black angle has to be gearing up to something. It's just at the early stages. Back of my mind when someone earlier posted about Eddie & Ortiz being battle royal filler, part of me was hoping it could lead to a Santana return. Although that's very much wishful thinking when factoring in all the speculation around Santana this summer.

In character or not he's not I don't think this is helping anything.

Which was then followed up by these couple of tweets.

Eddie of course being insecure enough to pieface Sammy after reacting badly to a promo.

There was a moment when Keith Lee was fighting with Vic Grimes on the floor and Parker Boudreaux could be seen in the background, holding a chair, waiting for his spot. He looked like such a wally. Like someone waiting to use the toilet cubicle. He just doesn’t have it. He always looks like he’s trying to remember what’s next. A slight resemblance to Brock Lesnar shouldn’t get you this far in this business.

It was a solid show. Hopefully this is the format going forward as we face the long stretch to Revolution. One or two big matches, then loads of utility stuff building the future and keeping things ticking. I remember the long Winter gap last year really suffering as they tried to save absolutely everything for the pay per view in three months time. I hope they slowly pay stuff off and don’t force everything to go on forever. On paper, Mox/Hangman, Danielson/MJF, Acclaimed/Team Jeff, Jungle Hook/The Firm and Samoa Joe/Wardlow are all great directions that I’m invested in. Just don’t make me wait until fucking March to see them peak!

On that subject, I laughed at how quickly they announced Ricky Starks vs. Chris Jericho. Wouldn’t surprise me at all if Chris has taken all the criticism to heart about guys getting stuck in the 8-month Jericho vortex. Maybe he’ll try and make a statement by having a quickie. I wouldn’t be against it. Almost every feud in AEW would benefit from shaving off at least a month or two.

I still don’t think much of Action Andretti but there’s a real charm to his shit, gaudy gear. He looks like a Create-a-wrestler doing through Career Mode. Very impressive fireball angle, too. Looked like they legitimately killed him.

I think they’re going to pull the trigger on the Mox heel turn! Yes! Both the promos and in-ring work are teetering on the brink of being a full-blown dickhead. I’m all for it. Wouldn’t be against turning the whole Blackpool Combat Club heel, actually. Was this the first time they had those jock uniforms with their names on the back? Real prick clobber. Would suit them as a heel group.

Shout out to Mox seemingly getting a nose bleed just walking to the ring. The man was born to bleed. Life finds a way.

I enjoyed the Trios match. It’s great how each of the Best of Seven has had a distinct style to it. Am I mistaken or has AEW actually displayed a bit of restraint and not had a hardcore match for a while? I couldn’t think of the last one. Usually they don’t leave it more than two weeks. Very excited about next week’s Trios match, too. Young Bucks always have amazing arena-wide brawls. Add in the fact that they’re getting a new set the following week? I hope they leave that old set as a pile of rubble.

“Rampage Holiday Bash Three Hundred Grand Three Kings Christmas Casino Trios Royale.” Tony Khan naming his matches is like Tetris with words. Still, the idea of the red lights coming on and House of Black fucking everyone up? Yes please!

Happy with the Gunn Club result. They’ve really grown into a great pair of twats. Loved the Bret Hart gear.

The Keith Lee/Swerve thing was an embarrassing mess, made even worse by the prospect of Swerve being dragged down by having to lead another rubbish faction. Depressing. Half the fun of watching Hit Row on Smackdown has been delighting in the fact they aren’t holding Swerve back. How about we sack off all these shitarses and instead of building a crap faction around Swerve we just build the whole fucking company around him instead? The guy is it.

Cute Talking Smack reunion with Danielson and Renee. They should’ve had a quick chat about AJ Styles believing the Earth is flat. Never forget. But yeah; Bryan Danielson is so fucking great, with so much incredible fire, that you almost forgot what a muddled mess this William Regal thing has been. But then Ethan Page’s music hit and it killed my boner dead. For the most part, I love Tony Khan’s booking for the way it wrong foots me and keeps me guessing but this obsession with mixing D level chumps into A level feuds needs to stop. Did anyone come out of that Hobbs vs. Starks feud thinking it was a good idea The Factory got involved?!

Great main event. Between this and the PPV match with Toni Storm, Hayter has consecutively had the two best women’s matches in the history of this company. She’s brilliant. Things looked really bright for this division…until Saraya ran out, reminding me she existed. Urgh.

Besides Miro i'm not sure who's sitting out that isn't injured or Jeff Hardy. Even Andrade got surgery during what's supposed to be a suspension.

They've just got too many people signed up and not enough time or dates for them all.

Scorpio Sky's name popped up around WrestleCade weekend because it was confirmed he was fit, but creative had nothing for him. Slightly hopeful he's being held back for once they hit California and actually have a plan for him at this point.

After Jamie Hayters initial AEW release, she came back here and got a WWE tryout at some point but they didnt sign her, and she went back to AEW, bet WWE regrets that now! What a amazing talent

I'm sure she's on their radar again but I doubt they regret anything. Sometimes it just takes time for someone to develop and click and prove themselves. I'm glad she is where she is now.

Shida vs Hayter was a great match, felt like a main event. Shida doesn’t get enough credit for all the work she did through 2020/21 so it was nice having her back in the spotlight. Hayter could benefit from Britt not having to be with her for every match.

The last thing the Swerve/Lee segment needed was More New Guys but I did quite enjoy the breeze block stomp, hadn’t seen that before.

Loved the commentary during Hook’s match, Tazz asking him why he helped JBJP… because he felt like it. Similarly, most babyfaces would have rushed backstage after seeing that footage. Hook, very sensibly, just walks back. Jack’s already been chokeslammed into the bin and they’ve run off, there’s no rush!

Yep this was my take too.

Really hope they keep Hook as the cool, cold, killer of a babyface.

I also hope one day Hook doesn't save JBJP from a beat down because he "doesn't" feel like it. They don't have to be best mates now.
