They haven't played the "surprise" card often enough with the women's division for it to feel like a problem to me, and someone like Athena/Ember Moon would have been a nice addition. That said, I agree with your wider point - I really miss the days of AEW being a place where you'd discover exciting new wrestlers. Likely FTR get added to that tag for a 4 way. I'm guessing a Casino Battle Royale will be thrown in. Build up has been pretty poor for this event. With the Jokers facing Samoa Joe & Britt Baker I wasn't expecting much. Itoh might make a couple more appearances before going back to Japan. Maybe not though. Maybe they truly weren’t watching. It’s the only explanation I can come up with for anyone on this fucking planet thinking we need to see more of Adam Cole vs. Kyle O’Reilly.
