Chili Posted September 5, 2021 Posted September 5, 2021 Really sad to see Sarah Harding passed away, unfortunately the last update I remember of her was revealing her time which is so sad. Girls Aloud are fantastic, the best pop group the UK put out post 2000 by a margin. They're great. Biology and The Show in particular are 24 carat hammers. That age is both terrifying and horribly sad to take.

Chili Posted September 5, 2021 Posted September 5, 2021 Just now, jazzygeofferz said: I seem te recall her mentioning over the last Christmas period that it was probably going to be her last Christmas. Must be awful knowing that. Yeah, I saw an update from her but I guess rather cruelly in retrospect I just figured she'd miracle out of it because well, she was 39 and you just never want it... What a group though.
Moderators neil Posted September 5, 2021 Moderators Posted September 5, 2021 Just 39, fucking hell that is awful. Cancer is just the fucking worst.
The Gaffer Posted September 5, 2021 Posted September 5, 2021 Genuinely shocked to see the news. I had no idea she was unwell. Seemed like the most down to earth one in the group, always. I think that was pretty much her anointed position. Whilst we're on the subject, Biology gets most of the love and rightfully so but Loving Kind, Untouchable and Call the Shots are where it's at. They peaked right at the end with all that sophisticated stuff
poetofthedeed Posted September 5, 2021 Posted September 5, 2021 (edited) Sarah takes an incredible song that the supremes would have sold 10 million copies of and saves it from a fairly terrible arrangement Edited September 5, 2021 by poetofthedeed
Keith Houchen Posted September 5, 2021 Posted September 5, 2021 Always reminds me of the Blankety Blank theme, that one. Not that that’s a bad thing, Ronnie Hazelhurst was king.
Pier Six Brawler Posted September 6, 2021 Posted September 6, 2021 Michael K. Williams (Omar from the Wire) dies aged 54.
DavidB6937 Posted September 6, 2021 Posted September 6, 2021 What a fucking talent that man was. Damn.
Paid Members I Bent My Wookie Posted September 6, 2021 Paid Members Posted September 6, 2021 I spent a few hours today watching Omar clips from The Wire based off a YouTube video of How I Met Your Mother ripping off pop culture and was saying how talented an actor Williams was. Absolute shame, especially as early reports indicate it as an overdose too.
Keith Houchen Posted September 6, 2021 Posted September 6, 2021 For me, he played the best character in the best TV show. An absolute talent. Gutted about this.
Awards Moderator HarmonicGenerator Posted September 6, 2021 Awards Moderator Posted September 6, 2021 Really sad news. Excellent in The Wire, a highlight of Boardwalk Empire. RIP.
Paid Members TheBurningRed Posted September 6, 2021 Paid Members Posted September 6, 2021 Been rewatching Boardwalk Empire recently so been seeing a lot of Michael K Williams on tv. Another great character of his. It was no Omar Little, but it was still great due to the presence he had on screen. Very sad news Omar Little though. Top tier. Just untouchable as greatest tv character ever.
