Merzbow Posted August 18, 2021 Posted August 18, 2021 What an awful loss, I've talked about my love for 15 Storeys High on here a few times over the years and I've always wondered why he didn't write more sitcom type shows. I don't want to say that he was above the panel show work that he did but... I'd imagine it was well paid constant work which he knew he was good at.

The man was a force of nature in the room. Just continuously going off on completely mad, hilarious tangents that you knew they couldn't air on telly. At one point after one particularly brilliant rant the producers asked him to do it again but shorter and without swearing and he took a breath and just replied "Nah, I can't be bothered". My favourite joke of his will always be - "Sean, what would you say is your greatest achievement?" "The money I embezzled from the RNLI."
