Awards Moderator Onyx2 Posted January 6, 2021 Awards Moderator Share Posted January 6, 2021 Albert Roux died aged 85. https://www.thecaterer.com/news/albert-roux-dies-aged-85-obituary A titanic career, including landing Britain it's first 3 star Michelin restaurant in 1982. Le Gavroche brought no end of talent into the current generation. And then did it over and over again to show how good he and his brother Michel were. More importantly, as recently as last year he was still visiting catering schools and colleges to work with trainee chefs and pass on his mammoth knowledge. And his work with the charity Clink rehabilitating prisoners into catering careers. A proper loss for the industry.

Pier Six Brawler
I only know Lasorda because he was one of the celebrities at WM2. They really went overboard with the celebs that year with some truly bizarre guests.
