He was going through a divorce and it became increasingly obvious he was living at the school. The one day me and my mate went to his classroom after school as my mate had left his bag there, and we walked in on him lying on his back on the lab bench with all the bunsen burners going glugging a bottle of vodka. Obviously quite tragic looking back but at the time it was one of those surreal, slightly scary/awkward moments you could get a lot of break-time conversation mileage out of. Great premise for a sitcom. Quote

Paid Members JLM Posted September 11 Paid Members Posted September 11 (edited) Just had an enormous multipack of fleshlights delivered to my house, along with what can only be described as a keg of lube. Didn’t even know you could bulk buy in such quantities, unclear why the lube is pressurised. Really embarrassed in front of my neighbours because someone got the address totally wrong. I’m number 54 and it was meant to be for 172. They weren’t even close! Edited September 11 by JLM Quote

Rossman Posted Sunday at 09:31 AM Posted Sunday at 09:31 AM Lack of download slips in with new vinyl records nowadays. Pretty much all records 10 years ago would come with a download code. Now it's non existent. Quote

Bandcamp still mostly gives your a download code but a pain as when working in my unit I heavily use iTunes/ipod dock during the day and this was a great way to have a perfect pairing with my physical collection Quote

Imagine their heating bills. In the middle of the last heatwave, I saw people on social media complaining about people leaving the windows open, because they were insistent that having them open meant the air conditioning wouldn't work properly and it would be much cooler to leave them shut. They must have been fuming about this bloke who kept stopping the bus and opening the doors every few minutes! Quote
Paid Members air_raid Posted Monday at 12:40 PM Paid Members Posted Monday at 12:40 PM Don’t start. Our MD got air con fitted because our office gets sweltering hot in summer time. If (God forbid) we’re ever all happy with the temperature itself but knock the air con off and open windows to let fresh air because it’s getting a bit ripe, when he comes in he immediately shuts the windows and knocks the air con back on complaining about “We’ve paid for it for you to not use it.” Nutter. Slapnut Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago When you ask for advice on the internet (Reddit in this case) and the vast majority of responses suggest something entirely different to what you're actually asking. I've recently moved into a house and we're getting an unbelievably strong smell of weed from our neighbours coming into our bedroom. I asked on Reddit if a specific DIY solution is likely to help, and I had two responses to the actual question and another twenty responses telling me to knock on their door/call the police. Motherfucker, if I wanted advice on how to approach the neighbours, that's what I would have asked! Quote
Paid Members hallicks Posted 17 hours ago Paid Members Posted 17 hours ago I needed to undo a hex bolt at work, and after a couple of minutes of cautiously cranking the tool in a standard anti-clockwise/lefty-loosey manner, it turned out to need a non-standard clockwise/righty-loosey operation. This has reminded me of the taps in the toilets at our old building which were lefty-tighty/righty-loosey, at which I tutted in annoyance every single time I used them. Quote
