When all our phones started the alert tone I genuinely thought a nuke was on the way, so I'm a bit relieved that it was don't light a disposable BBQ.

My entire socials being full of "did anyone else get that?" as if you're so special that the government just decided to tell you

It's a perfectly valid question.

In somewhat uncanny timing I'm currently watching The Day After and the alert arrived at the same time the bombs started exploding. I thought it was the film at first...

I was at the Imperial War Musuem today and was looking at the When The Wind Blows book and talking about the film with my mate so we did wonder at first if it was nuclear war tbf. A crazy coincidence if real. Would’ve stayed and finished my pint.

watching The Sopranos.

It’s how I’d want to go.

I nearly shit myself. I was showering my youngest and he'd just banged his head on the tiles trying to move his face away from the shower head, he was screaming, I was shouting and then the phone went off!

They've been going off all throughout the theatre performance I'm at. Still going off now.

Weird thing is I received the alert, but no noise.

Every time I go for a (stolen) fag this summer I make sure it's out in the sand bucket a million times before walking away.

In Wales they dropped a massive bollock. Did the warning in Welsh and Welsh only first, then waited a few minutes for the English one. As a good chunk of Wales doesn't speak Welsh, they all had no clue what was causing the alarm, so naturally started getting quite panicked.

Can't believe they didnt do it in both Welsh and English in the same message, unless you cant scroll for these sort of things.

Finally get a message from someone on Facebook interested in buying my camera tripod. Only they want it posting, and it's way bigger than any packaging I own and bloody heavy too. And of course they are sixty miles away, which is way too far to travel.
