deathrey Posted September 3 Posted September 3 Lots of women do this because staring in to the camera is a little full on. This is a gentler, kinder to the ego pose (not me, no one takes photos of me) Quote

I remember going camping with Vicky in late June a couple of years ago and at the nearest supermarket they had a single rack with selection boxes and those cadbury's snowballs. I also remember buying a Malt-easters chocolate bunny on my birthday one year which is a couple of days before Christmas. Quote

Paid Members Jazzy G Posted September 3 Paid Members Posted September 3 (edited) It's not the laziest portmanteau, but it's definitely a product name that was thought up at about half past four on a Friday afternoon. Edited September 3 by Jazzy G Quote

Nope. About mid-August. Easter shit used come in on Boxing day in the Co-op I worked in. And the reason they do it, is because it sells. I worked in a pub last year and as soon as it hit August 1st everyone was asking about Christmas Parties and Christmas dinners. So it's not just retail/hospitality, people are also pushing to get these things booked early. My misses uses a mobile hairdresser and she is already booked up in December (fully booked in July!) wordsfromlee Posted September 4 Posted September 4 I'm currently listening to the audiobook of London Falling by Patrick Radden Keefe and the narrator keeps pronouncing Roman Abramovich's surname as Abrah-moe-vich. Quote

Paid Members Lorne Malvo Posted September 7 Paid Members Posted September 7 Went round my parents the other day and they put a film on which both of them claimed they 'wanted to watch'. They spent the first 10 minutes of the film making sandwiches and getting snacks together. They spent the next hour of the film talking to each other non-stop about work and family and what Paul down the road has been doing lately to piss them off. They then spent 10 minutes sorting out some Temu deliveries they had received. The last 10 minutes of the film was spent asking me questions about the film; 'who is he', 'why is he doing that' and my personal favourite, 'what's happening?' As much as it boiled my brain, I did have to laugh when the credits rolled and my mom declared 'that was good wasn't it?' How the fuck would you know?! 😆 Quote
wordsfromlee Posted September 7 Posted September 7 I've noticed a few people starting sentences with "listen..." and it boils my piss. Richard Osman is really bad for it. Quote

(I should add it isn't always followed with "we're trying our best") Edited September 7 by Slapnut Quote
