He's shit, I don't know how but he's regressed as a wrestler.

I really wanted him to be good. I was completely biased in his favour because of his dad. I kept waiting for him to improve in AEW and ………….it never happened.

There is a fair fair chance that my brain thinks WWF looks better on the basis on seeing DVD remastered versions of matches possibly. But there is a difference between the camera quality of WCW and WWF isn't there, I'm not just going off-piste mentally.

Why does it look different pre 1995 to you?

Late to this but, whilst I don't have answers, I'm with you that WWF's looks better to me. It feels to me like the colours are more vivid for WWF in that time period and that there's more contrast. I don't feel the cameras handle WCW's lighting set up so well and it's like there's a bit of a fog over the image.

How many matches did you have that gives you the right to question his ability?

Urgh.

I’ve never worked in a restaurant but could still say when a meal is shit.

Yeah by that logic you also wouldn’t be qualified to say a wrestler is good either. That leaves this forum with basically only the pooing threads.

There's the other UKFF for that. The United Kingdom Faeces Forum.

Did anyone go to this? I didn't realize there was a show at the Mecca of Britwres before British Uprising 3, let alone one so many years earlier.

It was covered in Powerslam issue 76 in their Colour Commentary section. There would have been some news in the build up in the Elsewhere section of What's Going Down.

UCW (Universal Championship Wrestling) Wrestling Xplosion II. The write-up has 1,500, cagematch has 2,000. Meant to have been two tournaments which looking at the results can just figure out a singles and tag. The tag tournament is a bit obvious. The first semi-final of Royal v. Cabrero ended in double pin, somehow that meant the other semi-final of Fleisch v. Daniels became the final of the singles.

Regarding the bout where Joe LeDuc lifts Jerry Lawler above his head then chucks him over the top rope onto a table:

Did Lawler legitimately receive an sternum injury.

Secondly, what was supposed to happen as surely that wasn't  a planned spot?

Thanks

I read that bray wyatts wife jojo is now working in AEW.

I clicked on a few random bray wyatt tshirts on wweshop.com.  I couldn't find anywhere about money from the tshirts going to jojo and wyatts kids.

Have they stopped it now she's working for the enemy?

Strange 2am thought this morning. Triple H - do younger fans actually know it stands for Hunter Hearst Helmsley? Or do they not think about it? When you actually say Triple H - it's a weird fucking character name even in wrestling if you don't know its genesis.

Don't they still call him Hunter occasionally?

@Rob247 I assume she is still receiving the royalties and if she wasn't I'd publicly kick off if what you stated was the reason. Jake Roberts & Billy Gunn still get payments from WWE under deals they signed for stuff but obviously not on TV as they work for AEW in that capacity. Good for them too, get the money.

I got back into wrestling when he was fully established as Triple H, and to begin with I never really thought about it. It was established, and just his name. I must have questioned it at some point, or just read the full name in a magazine or one of the "Idiot's Guide To Wrestling" type books that were around at the time, but even then, "it stands for Hunter Hearst Helmsley"...okay, so what? That name doesn't mean anything to me either!

It was a silly name, for sure, but my way back into wrestling was Smackdown on the PS1, and I didn't know 90% of the people on it, him included. So was it any sillier a name than Mankind, Test, Edge, or Mr. Ass?
