Did FWA New Frontiers 2004 ever get a full video release? If so... *cough*

I'm guessing matches were spread out over the TV episodes though? I know the Punk v Raven one is on episode 10 at least.

I would like to know this for sure too. From what I can see the footage was only broken down for TV but I'm sure I recall seeing the shows in full for sale at a lat 04 FWA show. The YouTube channel FWA Files is pretty much all footage that still exists I believe so if it did, it's gone forever.

Truth be told, Not sure. I saw it on Reddit, and found it utterly bizarre. I guess it was the height of the Iraq War and tensions were high.

I'd wager those tensions didn't reach the crowd at an All Star show.

Is there any truth to the rumour that HHH used for whom the bell tolls, Due to them paying for Metallica for Sting to debut?

The deal and payment will always have been for For Whom The Bell Tolls at the point they agreed terms and/or paid. You can’t just pay Metallica for “live use in the stadium of one song,” everything’s specifics. Hence why they paid for use of Enter Sandman on the night for One Night Stand but not the asking price for use on DVD release.

Hunter loves Tallica, he’ll have chosen it. Had they paid up front for the song for Mania 27 thinking Sting without knowing they had Sting (which is not an expense I see Vince signing off) - I’m fairly sure it would have been Seek And Destroy.

I saw a clip from what I think was Fall Brawl 1993 based on the ring design of Michael Buffer introducing the Nasty Boys. This got me thinking, what was his first WCW appearance as a ring announcer (if it wasn't then) as I didn't know he was there so early on and what was his last? I can't recall seeing him on any PPV's post Bash at the Beach 2000 which I may even be imagining.

It wasn't his earliest, at the very least he introduced Blonds vs Flair & Arn at the June '93 Clash of the Champions.

Reminds of the story from Stampede 94 according to Big Tone where Bischoff has Buffer introduce all the title matches with a remark of "We're paying this fucker five grand, we need to get more than one match out of him."

I never understand the rationale behind that, either. Buffer must have got paid a mint, to come in for a main event and get names of half the wrestlers and their signature moves wrong.

You mean it’s not Bret Clark?

But yeah, Buffer’s first WCW appearance would’ve been sometime in 93. He definitely wasn’t there in 92 anyway. I’m thinking @air_raid’s mention of the June 93 Clash is probably about right.

That wasn’t even my favourite. Around the same time, he once introduced Sting and Luger at a combined weight of “852 pounds”… exactly the same weight the Natural Disasters were announced at, which I always considered too precise to be mere coincidence.

Hi all,

I am looking for some good examples of brawls or pull-aparts that effectively hyped you up to see an eventual showdown. The first example I thought of was Samoa Joe vs Kurt Angle, in which they both looked genuinely terrifying. Are there any notable brawls anyone could recommend me, please? Teams or one-on-one is fine for both. A big thank you to anyone who can help.

Just before they started overdoing them, I remember the Lesnar/Undertaker one before their Summerslam match (20...14?) being excellent.

Second question might be a little difficult because I don't have a way to check the show nor a photo saved. I have on my website that Adam Curtis, The Fight Club (Kid Fite & Liam Thomson) and an unknown person came out to the sound of an edited version of "Mein Herz Brennt" by Rammstein with a "Terminator" sound clip attached in the beginning. Does anyone know who was that four person that came out with the three aforementioned people?

I was able to get a screenshot this time about the person I couldn't recognise. It's the bald one holding the microphone.

That was incredible- "I'm gonna kill you!"...."You're gonna have to". Really intense, all went to shit after but that brawl was brilliant.

That’s “Charles Boddington”. He owns and promotes BCW up in Scotland.
