While I find the AEW/WWE stuff quite exhausting sometimes, I'd rather it came from someone who watches the product and feels like they're at least enjoying some of it and giving a fairly balanced review. Better that than anyone who just snark posts about stuff they don't watch.

Gunther can only ever be called Walter again if gets chubby again. I quite like the idea of them doing that one day. His version of Mankind morphing into Cactus Jack. He goes away for a couple of months, smashing in McDonald’s and KFC.

As I say, @Supremo is a tremendous poster and clearly has an affection for aspects of both products. Seems like a lovely person too. And we all have personal biases and hills we're willing to die on, that's just how it goes in life. I don't think I'm off the mark in suggesting that there's a very noticeable undercurrent of AEW vs. WWE on the forum these days; but I'm more than happy to accept it may be unfair to reference it in this context.

I much prefer the current system of not everyone has to wrestle or appear every show. It makes the matches and appearances that little bit more special and stops characters getting oversaturated. Gunther v Sheamus, while granted is a good idea at any time, only sounds better in France now with hindsight of the crowd.

I've not seen one person talking about the content, or theorising about it.

It's pretty pointless really. I do think the idea will bomb.

The whole hype and excitement previously was because a lot of people bought into Bray Wyatt.

This is just going to be a bunch of randoms or ones trying to desperately hold on to that legacy. I get it to a point but still, I think it's going to be a very tough sell.

He's in such a weird spot, as people seem to love the idea of him but don't really stick with it when he grabs the mic. It's as if his brand of grievance and snark isn't built for the sunlit uplands of WWE in 2024.

I think he needs less mic time and more opportunities to be a cheeky scamp, winding Drew up and only doing short promos.

The extended shite bombs are out of date, I think.

Same old shit with Punk I think. It's the exact same act he was doing in fucking 2011. He desperately needs a refresh or character change up. His character is entirely too predictable and that makes him unexciting. Even he turns heel you know exactly what it's going to be before he does it.

even when it was for Bray Wyatt, I'm not sure it added anything. It teased that he was coming back, sure, but it's not like it fed into what he ended up doing on-screen or anything. All a waste of time to keep a particular flavour of nerd convinced that something deeper was going on than spooky cosplay.

I get Bo Dallas wanting to keep Bray's thing going, but I'm dreading it. I can't imagine it being anything but a constant uncomfortable reminder of who isn't there and why. It smacks of Lance Von Erich.
