I saw the front pages this morning and even the Mail was going in hard on them over this (The Express continues to be some kind of straight up propaganda mouth-piece for the Tories, and Johnson in particular) and thought, "might see a U-turn here!"

On a pure political level, the whole thing was a fucking farce. Had the Tories accepted it, Patterson would have been suspended and things would have moved on, Now he's going to probably face a by-election and now Tory sleaze and corruption is the big news. As well as being cunts they're a farcical bunch

I don't know if the previous Thatcher/Major lot are any indication (the current lot seem to have been able to get away with certain things that even Margaret "Tory Jitler" Thatcher wouldn't have been able to), but the corruption and sleaze allegations seemed to start biting and getting purchase when they'd been in power for about 12, 13 years. We're coming up to that now. 

Knowing our luck, it'll probably coincide with Labour suddenly finding some "rising star" of the Labour Right, a new Blair, and they'll end up completing the cycle for it to repeat again another decade and a bit down the line.

It's just so bizarre, some in Labour just want to oppose everything and dont understand how their own party works. They're are lead on by Sqawkbox, twitter and other, crappy news sources to hate their own. 

Labour may not be every one's cuppa at the moment, but ffs stop doing the Tories job for them. It is the most maddening thing to keep seeing. 

How are you ever going to attract new voters if all the current members do is repeat that Labour is shit??
