This raised some eyebrows for me when I saw it. Fair play, I used to be a massive RHCP fan back in the day and in particular John Frusciante, but I knew this would be utter shite going into it but I couldn't help but listen. The song is so bland with a couple EVH-esque solos thrown on top...but the lyrics...the lyrics my god. Kiedis was never that great with them, but christ these are more on the nose than all the cocaine Eddie did.

I like a fair few RHCP songs and John Frusciante is a fantastic musician but part of me wishes they had just kept Josh Klinghoffer. He had found his place in the band and brought in a new era. Nothing groundbreaking but it felt like he brought something new to the band. He was also doing a decent job of saving the terrible singing when he came in with his backing vocals.

I love John but it feels like they are trying to capture past glory and it's just a bit embarrassing.
