I'd go along to that if i was as local to it as you are..

It's just the fact that it's a musical that puts me off. Anything ripping the piss out of Spiv Tony is welcome otherwise.

Ugh. Had to check if that stupid Nan movie was real because I couldn't understand why anyone would give that the go ahead. Bloody hell.

So it looks like the original Nan movie has been Snydered when they turned it in back in 2019 and the film was reshot and written to appeal to the lowest common denominator. No wonder Brett Goldstein was very quiet about it https://bleedingcool.com/movies/gossip-catherine-tate-the-nan-movie-josie-rourke-cut/

I’m more shocked that it’s taken £564,471 at the box office. Obviously that’s still a disaster, but that’s still about half a million quid more than I expected it to make

It's an interesting article and it's interesting that the original director isn't credited but I'm still not going to see it.

There is nothing in the article that suggests anyone should, in fact the complete opposite if anything

How's it a disaster? It's actually quite respectable for a British and Irish only release during the pandemic.

What was that BBC Three sitcom marketed solely on the premise of “written by young people for young people”? This was on a par with that.

The funniest thing about it was the ITV Hub app glitching and giving me 10 straight minutes of adverts
