And I thought that scene in Angel Heart was fudged up even without that in mind.

Paid Members IANdrewDiceClay Posted September 28, 2019 Paid Members Share Posted September 28, 2019 2nd movie should have been built around Tommy's 80s heel manager schtick. He should have taken over the Cobra Kai. He was such a mouthy little twat in that last scene wasnt he?
Keith Houchen
Peter Sissons has said goodnight from me for the last time. His head was like a magic eye puzzle where if you stared long enough, he became a conehead.
Moderators PowerButchi Posted October 2, 2019 Moderators Share Posted October 2, 2019 I always thought Buerk or Martyn Lewis would go before him.
Keith Houchen
On the back of one of the Day Today videos I had was the quote “Eat this, Sissons” so I always shouted it at the screen when he appeared.

Paid Members Jazzy G Posted October 2, 2019 Paid Members Share Posted October 2, 2019 It's a cracking song. It was one of the many songs we covered in the punk band I was in when I dropped out of Uni. We actually did it quite well, given that we'd usually only rehearse for about a week before any gig. Awards Moderator Frankie Crisp Posted October 6, 2019 Awards Moderator Share Posted October 6, 2019 Ginger Baker has gone, aged 80. They weren’t together anywhere long enough, but his part in Cream’s work is some of the best drumming you could wish for. Part of the soundtrack of my teenage years. Paid Members Lion_of_the_Midlands Posted October 6, 2019 Paid Members Share Posted October 6, 2019 I went to one of the Cream reunion concerts in 2005 at the Albert Hall. I went the first night as knowing Ginger he might have fallen out with the Jack and Eric and there might not have been any more nights. The transformation in him over the course of the gig was amazing. To go from him virtually shuffling onto the stage looking like an old man at the beginning to jumping over the drum kit at the end was spectacular. One of the greatest drummers of all time, and definitely the most argumentative, considering his life long battle with addiction 80 is a great innings. Rossman
What an amazing drummer Ginger Baker was, one of the pioneers of the double bass kick drum for rock music. His documentary from a few years ago is a good watch. Such a cantankerous old fucker, you can see why his time in bands was always short-lived.
