Adam Pacitti former What Culture YouTuber and britwres minor star flashes arse on GB News to troll the right wing broadcaster.

It's GB News, surely they are used to showing arses on their channel.

Joey Janela taking the troll to a whole new level, attending a school board meeting with all the other QAnon, anti-mask nutters. Selfie with Drake! Incredible!

The icing on the cake is all the usual melts not getting it and tag snitching Jim Cornette. Perfect.

This is brilliant stuff.

For anyone who's unaware, I believe the story here is:

Ed "Strangler" Lewis and Jim Londos had been pretty much the perennial "World Champions" for a couple of years, and Shikat was a strong contender. He was promised a title victory over Ed Lewis, which never surfaced - I think maybe around the time Gus Sonnenberg was champion. So when he got a shot at Danno O'Mahoney, who wasn't much of a shooter by comparison to Shikat, he screwed him over and shot on him for a win. In New York at the time you would still lose a title on disqualification or count-out, so Mahoney couldn't even go down that route to defend himself, and had to just hope for the best.

Shikat's title run didn't amount to much - he lost it relatively quickly - but promoters sympathetic to Mahoney continued to try and promote him as champion on any number of technicalities; claiming that the match had been an "exhibition" and not a title bout, or that the title could only change hands in a three fall bout and the match was only one fall, but the newspapers wouldn't run with it, and it just drew more attention to the fact that a cabal of promoters were clearly running everything. Even if it didn't expose the whole business as a work (which everyone more or less knew about at this point anyway), it showed that the big names were just working together to try and keep the titles on their guys and ignoring everyone else.

Promoters used to bill Shikat as appearing on cards without informing him, so that he'd be suspended by state athletic commissions for no-showing events, basically forcing him into being unable to work unless he came back on-board with the cabal. It eventually went to court, which led various promoters to all but admit that wrestling was a fix, and various wrestlers to testify that there was an inner circle controlling bookings and championships.

Danno O'Mahoney had already been on the way down from his peak, but it pretty much collapsed all the good work that various promoters had done to try and get him recognised as a unified world champion, and along with other scandals, and with the likes of Jack Pfeffer mouthing off to the press, all added up to the newspapers no longer covering pro-wrestling, to multiple claimants for different World Titles appearing in different territories, and basically killing what was left of the 1930s boom period.
