Keith Houchen
They say the song is called Fascination, but they clearly sing it as "Fascist Nation". Â It's just the way they feel.
Paid Members Bellenda Carlisle Posted August 21, 2018 Paid Members Share Posted August 21, 2018 Â I find it easy to avoid stuff I'm not into these days on account of being an old weirdo but I remember having a job where "Who knew" by Pink would come on the radio repeatedly and I really developed a strong hatred for it, I hate her other stuff too, it's not a one off. Paid Members Fatty Facesitter Posted August 21, 2018 Paid Members Share Posted August 21, 2018 Pink is fucking insufferable.
Tamura
Dancing in the Moonlight by Toploader. Whenever it was played on the radio at work I'd contemplate pushing rusty screwdrivers into my ears.
Sphinx
So shit. Would make me genuinely annoyed that it was popular and think much less of whoever liked it.
Paid Members Hannibal Scorch Posted August 21, 2018 Paid Members Share Posted August 21, 2018 another great pop song is this. The album was alright, but this was the standout

Are we saying that Alphabeat are actually Lynx and Lamb(Prussian Blue)? Because that doesn't seem right? Alphabeat are Danish, and not two women? They're 100% not the same. Sphinx
I was all about 10,000 Nights Of Thunder by Alphabeat.

One had gender reassignment and they moved to Denmark and took citizenship there.  It was the final solution for them to try and have a career in music away from their abusive parents. Paid Members PJ Power Posted August 21, 2018 Paid Members Share Posted August 21, 2018 Cannonball by Damien Rice & Let Her Go by Passenger have to be up there with the worst, both songs having the singer trying to come across as sensitive souls on a semi-acoustic backing that sounds like utter dirge that appeals to women in their 30's & 40's who are still trying to get over the original break up of Take That, and by men who are total wankers with no imagination. For best pop song, I nominate Vamos A La Playa by Righeira. The song never broke the Top 40 in the UK but was the "Saturday Night" of most of continental Europe in around 1983. Two Italian men singing in Spanish about a nuclear bomb exploding in the ocean. Topical for its time.
Jacko
Worst song of all time has got to be ed sheeran-thinking out loud
Merzbow
The cover of Heaven by DJ Sammy has to be one of the worst, Eurodance went to shit after the year 2000. Pop music peaked in 2012, it won't get better than SNSD although Blackpink come close. Â
Sphinx
From the last five years, Salute and Move come to my mind for some of the best pop songs. Salute's a decent pop album. Â Â Edited August 21, 2018 by Sphinx
Paid Members Devon Malcolm Posted August 21, 2018 Paid Members Share Posted August 21, 2018 Another contender for greatest pop song of all time, still ludicrously overlooked as such. Â
