Any shit that can help squeeze the hell out of FFP is a bonus that can help unlock the financial clout of the owners.

You can't do a Man City anymore, unless you capitalise on things like this. You have to be happy with things like this as it can allow your team to grow, I mean some clubs out there are looking at the top 6 and wanting a slice of that pie, it's just FFP is definitely holding them back from potentially making that step sooner rather than later.

Doing the city proud again, the cunts :dickin:

Didn't your lot go to Millwall equipped for an organised scrap?

Accept the fact that cunts use football to have a pop at other people. Every club in the league has dickhead fans who drag their name down. Don't demonise a club because of the actions of a few, otherwise we'd all have nobody to support.

Wasn't exactly like that but yeah and they were condemned for it, problem is that whenever some of their lot cause aggro, you very rarely see condemnation, more they all go defensive or turn the blame onto someone else. Seen one defence of the fountain clown being that it's a natural thing, he does it at every away trip, like that makes it fine and dandy to attack innocent bystanders for bantz

Got it in one, probably been defended on their forums as well

Whenever one club do something, some fans of their biggest rivals talk about it more than they do about their own club.  Fancy hating a club more than you love your own.

TBF Houch, most Evertonians hate us just as much as the bretheren, pretty much the stubborn ones will still refuse to give Silva any credit for turning the form around the past few weeks, choosing to go along with the media that it was less how well we played more how bad United, West Ham, Chelsea and Arsenal were

My point was actually more to the point that most of ‘football twitter’ is mostly FIFA playing virgin trolls who call themselves @Dijkaholic and @SalahOlogy who say shit just to troll and wind up, so I wouldn’t pay any attention to anything said on there really. It’s a cesspool, as are most Internet forums 😬

As we all know there’s arseholes in every fan base. I’d really like to think that if more people had seen what that guy did, they would’ve done something about it, as most people clearly don’t condone that type of behaviour.

On another point, beautiful to see Suarez celebrate his goal. Cannot stand pious non-celebrations.

Everton fans welcome their team back home.

So... Maybe it isn't Liverpools year?

Hopefully after Barca finish the job and if City hold their nerve the malaise that follows triggers an unravel of the current squad and they'll shut the fuck up. My office is increasingly Scouse and this season has been unbearable.

Liverpool played really well last night. They enjoyed a good share of possession and rattled Barca to the point Valverde changed it early in the second half because they were getting over-run. It says everything about the quality of Barca that they won 3-0 and it should have been 4 or 5 with the breaks they wasted late on.

This isn't news but Messi is incredible. That free kick was out of this world but his work ethic is phenomenal too. He lost a ball in the first half and ratted after Henderson until he gave it back. He does it all the time. He was in Milner's face after he fouled him. He's not afraid of anyone. His dribbling has always been majestic. Like Sensible Soccer come to life. Never seen anything like it and not sure we will again.

Liverpool will be kicking themselves about the chances they missed, particularly the one to make it 3-1 that would have given them something to cling to but other than that, I'm not sure they can do anymore and I think Klopp said it too. That performance gets a result against any other team in Europe IMO.

Spot on really, it sounds daft but apart from the goal, the first half performance was absolutely excellent. Outplayed Barcelona at home for 70 minutes and still got beat 3-0. One of those where the final whistle goes and you just have to shrug and ask "what more could we have done when they've got someone who can do that?". Reminiscent of how well we went and played at the Eithad before Aguero scored in terms of how we weren't fazed about keeping the ball and playing our normal game. They were just more clinical than us, and Messi is an anomaly in himself. They've got him and we don't. If they'd had the chance Mane got in the first half, they'd have finished it. Just wasn't our night. Keita going off early didn't help either. Henderson came on and did well, but we were a lot more fluid in the opening 20 when Naby was growing into the game.

Only complaints was the time it took to make changes. It was painfully obvious Gini wasn't getting a sniff up top. We should've either put Mo and Mane up top, especially when Lenglet got himself in the book, or brought Firmino on a lot earlier than we did.

It's a bit of a conundrum really, because while Liverpool fans are, for the most part, annoying as hell, I can't help but root for the team. From the manager down to the players, there's very little to hate about them. Liverpool have always been my "other" team down south.

They've just been unfortunate enough to run into a Barcelona team who are operating at full capacity this season, and a Messi who decided in the summer that he's winning that Champions League trophy. The way he played last night suggests that he's hellbent on making that happen.

Would have made for a terrific final, but as it is we'll just have to settle for Barcelona vs Ajax now by the looks of it, which isn't too bad really. Can't see Spurs getting the result they need in Amsterdam, unfortunately.

'Settle'? David, we're talking about perhaps the two most celebrated pure footballing clubs of all-time! A Johan Cruyff testimonial if you will! Keith will fucking hate it.

I really hope we get this final. Both teams are usually a joy to watch and have had an identity and wonderful playing style embedded into the club for decades.
