The Book of Boba Fett should have been the easiest thing to make good really. But I guess no one anticipated that they would have gone with "what if we make Boba Fett the saddest, most boring loser in history?" as the creative direction.

Boba Fett should never be the main character in anything. He should be the guy that when he does appear, you get all excited because things are about to go wild, and after causing all sorts of cool havoc, he just fucks off again.

It's sad that with everything that Disney has available to them, they couldn't match Robot Chicken's mini-episode with Bossk.

Terry Pratchett used to talk about how people would ask him to write a book with Death or Vetinari as the central characters, who's internal monologue you could read etc, but he always resisted because part of the joy of the character was the mystique and the distance, and that it would ruin them getting too far into their mind, and I think that's true with Boba.

B2 from Andor wants a word.

Big fan also. But there's just something about Ned-B.

Skeleton crew has surpassed my (admittedly low) expectations and I'm looking forward to the finale. Easy watching and likeable characters nestled amongst an easy to follow storyline. Bonus points for offering absolutely no fan service (looking at you Feloni).

Mandalorian 1, Andor and Skeleton Crew. Top 3.

Fuck BOBF.

Can't argue with this.

I can. Andor number 1, always.

ISkeleton Crew does do fan-service - just in a much more satisfying, less blatant way than some of the other shows . Phil Tippett miniatures… the jingle from Star Tours … even a little dude from Captain EO, and that’s not even Star Wars! It doesn’t hit you over the head with it but there’s been plenty of moments that have serviced my fandom.

Skeleton Crew finale was great. ET crossed with Return of the Jedi with a bit of Wizard Of Oz thrown in. If this is it, it’s been a great show and fun from start to finish, but I hope we get more in the future. Skeleton Crew 2 is a much more exciting thought than a second season of Ahsoka.

Jude Law is a fascinating one. Someone I couldn't have cared less about for such a long time but he won me over with stuff like Young Pope and The Third Day and I really respect how varied his career is looking back at it. He also seemed to really enjoy working on Skeleton Crew and the cast and I think that enthusiasm comes through. Just a fun project all round.
