RedRooster
Anyone aware of any good podcasts discussing Powerrr, preferably in a post-show format? Edited January 30, 2020 by RedRooster
Paid Members IANdrewDiceClay Posted January 30, 2020 Author Paid Members Share Posted January 30, 2020 You can argue that Storm and Drake arent the top acts in the business (or on Powerrr for that matter.) But you probably wont find a pair of wrestlers enjoying themselves as much as they are. They looked to be having the time of their life. Angle_fan
You can say the same about Aron Stevens too.
Sheffbag
That whole segment sums up what is great about Powerrrrrrrrrrrr. 4 guys having fun, an announcer willing to join in and a crowd that reacts. "So do I" - brilliant.

Granted he didn’t really feature on this show, but he’s distractingly bad on the mic. I didn’t watch TNA while he was considered a hot prospect, but I was always under the impression that mic skills were his strong point. Was he this incoherent back then? He was an appallingly bad commentator, I can tell you that much.

Can't believe they made him a commentator in TNA. At least they were ringside for it though, not like when Matthews & Tazz used to read scripts into a camera in Dixie's spare bedroom. hallicks
First time watching this week. Really enjoyable stuff, everything's pretty tight, nothing overstayed it's welcome. Crowd are well into it (or at least they seemed to be). Echo the love for Aron Stevens.
Paid Members IANdrewDiceClay Posted February 4, 2020 Author Paid Members Share Posted February 4, 2020 (edited) NWA Powerrr released the cold open, with Pantera doing the song for the open. I'm getting a fear of commitment with this show now. Like a holiday romance. You dont turn up give me Mooney and Pantera and just disappear again. What a company. Marshmallo
I'm getting this played when they cremate me
Angle_fan
They actually did something wrong. They changed the intro. I couldn't be any more devastated than I am right now 🙁. Edited February 5, 2020 by Angle_fan
Paid Members BomberPat Posted February 5, 2020 Paid Members Share Posted February 5, 2020 Eddie Kingston is the best promo in the business.
Paid Members Devon Malcolm Posted February 5, 2020 Paid Members Share Posted February 5, 2020 I can't say I agree. I just don't think there's anything natural about his delivery at all. Plus I don't want to hear about death, dying and suicide on my favourite jolly hour of wrestling. I wish he'd go away.
Paid Members Carbomb Posted February 5, 2020 Paid Members Share Posted February 5, 2020 Personally, I like his promo style (not a big fan of his matches though), but I must admit I've thought for some time now that he seems wildly discrepant with the product that they're trying to put out. Everything else feels like classic pro-wrestling, but he's a bit too much on the "edgy" side for this programme - probably belongs more in MLW, AEW or RoH. I don't know why he's on NWA tbh.
Paid Members Jazzy G Posted February 5, 2020 Paid Members Share Posted February 5, 2020 So with Aldis telling Scurll he has to refund all the fans if he doesn't win, is anybody else thinking he wins by DQ so Aldis keeps the belt?
