Moderators neil Posted May 11, 2025 Moderators Posted May 11, 2025 I absolutely love pie and mash. The only one in my family who does - everyone else thinks it is vile. Quote

Paid Members Gus Mears Posted May 11, 2025 Paid Members Posted May 11, 2025 I really enjoyed it. Surprisingly the eels were the best bit of it in my opinion (hot, not jellied - I'm not a savage). Quote

My old man always used to take me to Harringtons when I was small but think its just closed down. Quote

Walked from where I am near Tower Bridge, filled myself up with pie and potatoes and had a lovely walk around Greenwich Park. Blinding day. Quote
Merzbow Posted May 15, 2025 Posted May 15, 2025 I just had one of these classic Hot Chicken ramen bowls but instead of pouring the water out (it's a stir fried version) I added a "hot and sour" soup base that was lying around to it and oh my, it's mixed together perfectly with the signature Buldak sauce. Paid Members tiger_rick Posted June 4, 2025 Paid Members Posted June 4, 2025 Picked this pile of shite up last night for my post-footy treat. I really wanted the #EATCLEAN special with the hot dog stuffed crust but they didn't have any. Been absolutely robbed. Don't be fooled into thinking there's 4 halves of tomato there, one of them is just the inside of one of the others. Quote
Paid Members Scratch Posted June 28, 2025 Paid Members Posted June 28, 2025 I picked these up in Aldi this evening and they were absolutely phenomenal. I had them both in buns with a side of Aldi beef dripping triple cooked chips, which were also superb. Quote
Paid Members Scratch Posted June 29, 2025 Paid Members Posted June 29, 2025 Quick update, which I believe adds to the quality of the product - when I woke up this morning my wife said “you fucking stink” and claimed that the whole bedroom reeked of onions and in her words “gross cheese”. Quote
Cousin Jim Bob Posted July 3, 2025 Posted July 3, 2025 Lidl have just announced that their bakery will be doing a cheese covered pretzel for a limited time from the 10th of July. The normal pretzels are fantastic and so I'm a bit nervous for my waistline in just how good these could be. They will only be 55p with Lidl Plus app as well. Quote
Members SuperBacon Posted July 3, 2025 Members Posted July 3, 2025 I had the Big Arch. It was really good, but it was really messy due to the bun not being big enough or strong enough to support what's in the burger. Solid 8/10. Quote

I'm very much addicted to the M&S ones so if I can get these on the cheap instead I'll be very happy. Quote

Nearly got one on Friday, saw the price, thought fuck that and got a Big Mac with my points instead. Quote
wordsfromlee Posted July 3, 2025 Posted July 3, 2025 (edited) I had a Big Arch last week and it was better than expected. Actually filled me up too. With McDonald’s I normally have to get a large meal as well as an extra burger/nuggs just to feel even slightly full, but the Big Arch did the job on its own. To me, it tasted like some kind of deluxe Big Mac. It’s no Big Tasty, but it’s the best limited burger they’ve had for a long while. Edited July 3, 2025 by wordsfromlee Quote
