TildeGuy~!
Meltzer said he was due to be next in line to face Almas for the title but hasn’t been seen at NXT house shows or the performance centre since January 6th. No ones sure what’s happened Edited February 4, 2018 by TildeGuy~! CavemanLynn
If they have nothing for Murphy it's criminal. Great look, solid in-ring, charisma, poise and unique dubstep theme. He was the TNA Bobby Roode of NXT. The BAMF split was one of those rare cockups by NXT creative, where their big one-on-one match was dissolved into fodder for Samoa Joe's steamroller, and they never bothered with the followup. Get him in an Aussie team with Thorne, or bring him up as Heath Slater's long lost cousin or something. Paid Members BomberPat Posted February 5, 2018 Paid Members Share Posted February 5, 2018 Lars Sullivan's hurt, vaguely remember reading that somewhere. Blake and Murphy were victims of a culture shift in NXT, I think - they got a lot of mileage out of that team when NXT was still far more heavily structured around bringing up new talent, and then broke up just as it really started to make the move towards being a playground for the indie darlings. Blake's been tagging with Cutler fairly regularly on house shows and whatnot for a while now, but it does feel a bit of a wasted spot in the Dusty Classic. Presumably just there to eat a quick loss to a debuting War Machine. Â Buddy Murphy actually had a great little match against Shinsuke Nakamura not long after Shinsuke debuted; he was obviously just fodder for him, but he played his part really well. Also vaguely remember him having a match in Australia, getting a hero's welcome while dressed in Aussie flag tights. Remember watching that and thinking him having an Aussie patriot gimmick like the British Bulldog was to the UK might not have been a bad shout. Loki
You're right, Pat - Murphy is an example of someone who has suffered from the realignment of NXT as a super indy. I actually feel like they're starting to come out that era now - you've got Dream, Eichner, Sullivan who are all NXT development talent, being featured and pushed up the card. Â I suspect Murphy will re-emerge as a singles guy in a similar fashion. I actually wouldn't mind if they moved a few more of the indy guys up to the main roster - Undisputed Era, Aleister Black, Drew when he's back. Â Certainly those last two are main roster ready (I don't see Black getting any more character development than he already has, sadly).
WyattSheepMask
I can see Black staying in NXT until after Summerslam. Drew I imagine would have been a post-Wrestlemania callup, but he's out until at least May/June apparently, so he could well come up after Summerslam too with Black, one going to RAW and the other to Smackdown
Awards Moderator HarmonicGenerator Posted February 9, 2018 Awards Moderator Share Posted February 9, 2018 Decent brawly action between Sanity and Undisputed Era this week. Interesting Tyler Bate interview too, his list of potential opponents makes it sound like they’re planning on integrating him into the main NXT roster a bit more. Dunne vs Strong next week should be good. Intrigued by the Gargano-Almas rematch where Gargano has to leave NXT if he loses. They can’t have him leave... but they can’t have him win the title on TV... genuinely don’t know where they’re going to go with this one so it’ll be fun finding out! An easy way around this is to have him win via DQ after a Tomasso run-in. No title change on TV, he's doesn't have to leave NXT, continues the feud- makes sense. Paid Members marc2j Posted February 9, 2018 Paid Members Share Posted February 9, 2018 Was anyone else perturbed by the camera angles this week? Really weird and made me feel a bit seasick!

I like that idea a lot - then you have Ciampa lording it over Gargano that he's the only reason he still has his "dream job", like he's still carrying Gargano even long after the team broke up. Paid Members air_raid Posted February 9, 2018 Paid Members Share Posted February 9, 2018 Gargano explicitly stated "If I can't win the NXT Championship, I'll leave NXT." DQ win = he's gone, to my mind.
The King of Old School
Been catching up on quite a bit of NXT this week, i know everybody goes to shit when they get to the main roster, but how can The Velveteen Dream and Aliester Black not be huge stars in WWE? They are both so, so good its rediculous. Edited February 16, 2018 by The King of Old School
WyattSheepMask
Black is going to struggle when it comes time to talk, which he will have to do if wants to be any sort of star, and judging by how the crowd were deathly silent for his promo and when Dain came out to do his piece, that is going to be a worry. You can be the silent assassin type for so long, but if you're going to be a top guy they'll be looking for you to do the 15-20 minute opening segments on RAW, which at this stage Black has got a long way to go. Velveteen Dream is in a similar boat. He's fine at the moment in short interview segments, but another year in developmental won't do him any harm. Both men have got potential to be solid acts, obviously that comes down to individual booking and not getting lost in the 50/50 club Edited February 16, 2018 by WyattSheepMask

Paid Members Lion_of_the_Midlands Posted February 16, 2018 Paid Members Share Posted February 16, 2018 You say about getting lost in the 50/50 club there @WyattSheepMask but that might not be a bad thing in the end. Life President of the 50/50 Club Dolph Ziggler has just signed a ridiculous new contract. If Black and Dream end up a dollar behind Dolph they will have done alright.
TildeGuy~!
I’ve just read that the Iconic Duo have been off TV for so long because they’ve both had boob jobs, Getting ready for that call up!
