NXT - Post NXT Takeover discussion in progress

I think you are all reading way to much into what happened last night.

Here's how Asuka was first announced in the crowd at a Takeover event.

KENTA was shown on the Titantron when Hideo Itami debuted, Prince Devitt/Finn Balor was the same. Possibly Uhaa Nation/Apollo Crews also.

They might not call him EC3.

That main event was incredible. Definitely an early candidate for match of the year. Gargano is the best babyface in the business. It’s impossible not to root for him. I haven’t cared about the result of a match that much in years. Some of those near falls were a thing of beauty.

Velveteen Dream continues to be the most exciting prospect on the roster. The way he nails all the small details is fantastic for someone so green. Fuck Ohno though. This need to be a wake up call for the fat fuck. It’s all well and good relying on your ability, but when your dog shit physique is negatively affecting your matches it’s time to stop eating the donuts. Both blown spots in their match were because he’s a fat wreck. Imagine having the gym facilities and nutritionists at his disposal, but still looking like that. It’s inexcusable.

I’m warming to the Undisputed Era, but it still feels like they’re missing something. I can’t figure out what it is though. There’s just something really phoney about them, O'Reilly in particular.

Overal, another good show. It’s going to suck when the day comes for Gargano to have shit, unimportant matches on 205 Live.

I think Impact are being too nice allowing wrestlers to retain their gimmicks. WWE send out cease and desists the second one of their gimmicks is being infringed upon, even gimmicks they didn’t even create. But here they are, benefitting from a TNA/Impact creation.

Key difference is WWE know what they are doing, and TNA have let wrestler’s contract expire without noticing. If TNA don’t own the rights to the name EC3 that’s their own fault.

Besides, TNA have relied pretty heavily on WWE stars over the years

Ohno’s offence is just elbows and the occasional big boot.

Thats 2 takeovers in a row now where all he’s done is Elbows, Get rid

Totally agree. His offence is lazy, his work rate almost absent. Perhaps the most over-rated man on the roster.

The thing that annoys me most about Ohno's offence being all elbows and strikes is that they call him a Knock-Out Artist. When all of his offence is striking, and he's never once won a match by knock-out using any of those strikes, by what measure is he a "Knock-Out Artist"?. See also, "submission specialist Kyle O'Reilly".

Main event was stellar, easy candidate for Match of the Year, beautiful finishing stretch. Didn't think much of the rest of the show, but wasn't bad by any means.

I think this went pretty much how I expected it to. One really good but far too long match and one more incredible performance. The rest was just average to expected. Doesn't look like Ciampa is quite ready to go yet.

I don't think I agree with EC3 going to NXT. I hope this is a swerve because he's so main roster ready it's untrue and Smackdown is crying out for him. Wins Rumble haha!

I don't think Ohno is a bad worker at all (although it was a bit of an off night, last night), but I find the cellulite on his legs to be unbelievably distracting. He could be caving a skull in, but I'm wincing at his legs like John McCririck just dropped his trousers, bent over and opened his cheeks.

Shorts or tights, please.
