uklaw
In "shows how much I know" news, it's been reported that Spud is engaged to Mae Young Classic competitor Renee Michelle. Of course, I didn't know they were an item- or indeed who she was before the tournament but congrats to them.

So I'd imagine they just do the same this time, probably with even more imports. Most Americans won't care about 5 Star upsetting the BritWres scene if they're getting a good payday. I think more (known) wrestlers will give this a swerve, TV or not. Whether due to TV/broadcast contracts elsewhere (though I think the WOS contracts may have ended by then?), how much they can make doing other, stable bookings or just because of the 5* experience so far. I think on that basis, you'll get less experienced or polished British and Irish wrestlers looking for a payday or their face on TV, who will be deemed unsuitable for significant shine. And and an (over) abundance of imports who will then be put over these wrestlers as they are 'more experienced' and 'the stars that sell the tickets'. METAL ON METAL
Kassius Ohno has just been announced to wrestle Joe Coffey at the ICW show in Newcastle next week. Odd.
The Dart
Progress have just announced they're running Wembley Arena next year. Pretty crazy. Edited September 10, 2017 by The Dart

D@mm
Yeah but wont Daniel Bryan have that 90 day release clause thing so he wont be able to be on that show, well not in a wrestling capacity anyway.
UK Kat Von D
I don't think that counts for expired contracts only releases. I also think it's optional (or at least used to be) because back in the day Raven chose not to have his in order to create a bigger buzz showing up in TNA. So so crazy looking back that was actually a big deal at the time

Not if his contract is just left to expire. If he's released from his contract, then the 90 day clause comes in
Richard
And I doubt Progress would book a wrestler WWE won't clear given their healthy working relationship with the company. That being said that's a huge statement from them, you would have to think they will be lending some WWE talent for the show, can't see it selling out, but anything over half full would be a massive achievement. WyattSheepMask
Don't underestimate them. I can see them pulling a very good number for it especially if they build it as a must see/massive card

The working relationship adds a layer of confusion. Maybe WWE know that Bryan will wrestle after his contract expires and prefer he wrestled somewhere they have a relationship. Be better than him going somewhere random
AVM
With Wembley, I think there are smaller configurations- one of which is 5,000-6,000 which I believe is about the level Progress should be targeting as a one-off, and I reckon they'll come close. Guest
If icw can get 6k up here, can see progress being able to get similar in a London venue . Enough hype, get word out beyond their fan base, and encourage people to travel and it should do more than fine.
TildeGuy~!
How much did Alley Palley hold? I was trying to get a ticket all weekend knowing it was sold out but never saw any reselling.
Paid Members Chris B Posted September 11, 2017 Paid Members Share Posted September 11, 2017 Ally Pally held 2,000, I believe (it was the west hall rather than the main hall). Still, it was a really good atmosphere and venue.
