Ha, I'm just being derogatory towards "grebs" even though I am one. Maybe it was a local term to the midlands, coming from Grebo before it.

Slipknots current drummer was there. Granted he has only been in the band for a year though.

He provided additional drums for Mastodon doing Supernaut along with Danney Carey.

He also proposed to Kelly in front of Ozzy, in a real case of 'that's nice mate, but probably could have waited'.

For anyone that may have missed it, they’re releasing some of the Earth material on July 25th, titled ‘The Legendary Lost Tapes 1969’

Why they haven’t gone with ‘Black Sabbath - Unearthed’ I don’t know, the marketing does itself

Lamb of God actually recorded a studio version of Children of the Grave and its out now.

Would be good if some other studio versions come out. Nice little compilation.

I am not really sure what they do with the footage / audio now. Do many people even buy Blu Rays?

Entire event is obviously way too long for a live album as well. Maybe they could just edit it down to the Sabbath covers and the complete Ozzy/Sabbath sets and put it out as a live album or something?

I just hope something comes out. It would be nice to get some kind of physical media to commemorate it.

Cheers for the heads up. Caught this on social media and it was going down a storm.

Nativity In Black III? I’d be down that

Physical media is having a bit of a resurgence because of how stuff comes and goes from the various streaming outlets. This being for charity and everything I reckon it could get a release in some form. I doubt it will be the full event, but you’d maybe get something featuring the Black Sabbath, Ozzy, Metallica and Guns n Roses sets and then a highlights from the rest of the day, most likely the Sabbath/Ozzy covers that everyone did.

To your point about Rival Sons as well, they were definitely the act on the bill that were not like the others. I saw them at a festival once and they were fucking awful.

Found this picture online too which I absolutely love of Tony and Geezer.

Tony’s reputation precedes him ofcourse, but Geezer has been there for more less the full run aside from a stretch from 1985 to 1990 and 95-97. 20 albums (I’m including Heaven & Hell’s ‘The Devil You Know’ because it is a Black Sabbath album) and he’s played on 15 of them and wrote most of the lyrics, he’s as integral to that band’s legacy as anyone. It’s just great to see them have a moment to themselves after all this time

I'm a Faith No More obsessive fan and follow the band members goings on closely. Puffy was definitely there, I've seen lots of photos of him backstage and as someone mentioned he did some drumming on stage too.

Now for the gossip part - Sharon Osbourne said that one band wasn't included on the bill because they wanted to make a profit, and that wasn't what the show was about.ng he'd normall

The sourceless rumour I heard was Mötley Crüe!!

That was Sid, not the drummer.

I also don't really agree with the sentiment that seems to be quite prevelant - I trust their judgement in knowing it would be something that added to Ozzy's memory of the event rather than taking away from it.  Just before the proposal you can see Sharon asking everyone to be quiet so I think he'd definitely cleared it with her first.  And Ozzy looked over the moon at the end of the clip - retiring on top surrounded by your closest friends and seeing your baby girl get engaged in the same weekend sounds pretty good to me.

That would have been my guess. Obviously a band with history with Ozzy so would have made sense for them to be there.

I have a faint memory of my friend telling me who it was who wanted to be paid but I cannot for the life of me remember who it was. I didn’t even remember the conversation until this thread but I do remember saying, “But it’s for charity!” so I know it happened. Old age memory loss at its best.

Got to be either Mötley Crüe or Megadeth that were booted from the bill. I’d be more inclined to say it was Crüe as Dave Mustaine is a total mark for Sabbath and was conspicuous by his absence considering they were playing in Spain two days earlier. Obvious David Ellison being there could’ve caused some tension on the day

I know Sharon has said she’ll reveal who it was in the near future, but I don’t believe a word she says at the best of times so I doubt we’ll ever find out for sure

Oooh, just remembered another of my favourite moments from the show. I spotted Sharon by the side of the stage just before Ozzy's set. She was obscured by some of the rigging and nobody else had noticed her. She looked directly, smiled, waved and I gave her the finger. And then everybody clapped (because Ozzy came on)

I had to google it, Grebo is a new one on me
