Paid Members TheBurningRed Posted August 15, 2025 Paid Members Posted August 15, 2025 Got tickets for MCR for next year. Third row from the back in the top tier. Cheapest ones available. One of the easiest and smoothest purchases for big gig I’ve had. I didn’t think there would be any left considering how many people were in front of me in the queue. Eyeliner at the ready next July. Just goes to show that certain acts have got incredibly savy promotors able to convince people that their acts are worth £300+ a ticket Quote
cobra_gordo Posted August 19, 2025 Posted August 19, 2025 So we played Arctangent festival on Saturday. Just after midday, PX3 stage and it was rammed from start to finish. That tent holds 1500 and it was spilling outside of it so to walk on the stage to that and to notice that nobody left for the whole set was unreal. It was one of those gigs oddly where there were no nerves, just rode the wave and enjoyed the whole experience. Just look at that lot. To have a crowd that up for it, to be invested, to be cheering so loudly, screaming and clapping along is a high I'm really crashing from at the moment. Can't explain how that feels, seriously. This was the highlight though, something we do at all of our gigs called The World's Slowest Wall Of Death. We'd set a challenge to make the one at ATG the biggest yet and fuck me, they delivered. Felt like Moses when that crowd parted. Also, this looks so ridiculous from the stage, it gives me life every time. Finished the set, got flashed by two ladies who had clearly enjoyed themselves too much and then randomly bumped in to Shane Embury from Napalm Death who it turns out, has heard of our band and is the nicest man on the planet. What a day. I've been completely depressed since, really don't know how we'll ever top that without being asked back, playing Bloodstock again or getting on Download. Quote

Should have seen me on Saturday afternoon, I was wired. Had to do a few interviews on that high so fuck knows how they turned out. I may have ruined The Callous Daoboys interview with Guitar World by accident as they were sat next to us doing an interview about mental health where I definitely said cunt about 14 times. Quote
DavidB6937 Posted August 19, 2025 Posted August 19, 2025 Sounds amazing @cobra_gordo - you must be insanely proud, and such a great experience. Who knows what the future holds hey Quote
wordsfromlee Posted August 19, 2025 Posted August 19, 2025 Admittedly, I’m a Deftones mega fan, but I have been quite luke warm on their post-Diamond Eyes stuff. Saying that though, I think Private Music is their best record since then. The second half especially. Big fan of it. Quote

WyattSheepMask Posted August 19, 2025 Posted August 19, 2025 So pleased for you @cobra_gordo and the rest of the band. Still haven’t managed to get to seeing you yet but that will be remedied as soon as I’m able. I can’t be a fringe Bastard Club member forever Quote

It's mad this band has been going for 10 years next year and we've done pretty well but Saturday really cemented that, you know, we're not too bad are we. 19 hours ago, WyattSheepMask said: So pleased for you @cobra_gordo and the rest of the band.
