For some reason I've regressed in to listening to the most ignorant metal possible (sonically, not politically). 10/10 would spin kick your head off again.

Marmozets feel a certainty now they're back. Maybe them or Nova Twins, I feel the Friday will be a duel headliner day again.

Turnstile maybe? Last played 2022 and are a fair bit bigger now.

Feel like the boat may have passed. Current tour feels like they've now surpassed the size of the festival, still expect them at Download though.

I can see the argument both ways for Turnstile. Would love it to be them, haven’t seen them in years. Still hoping for AFI! 
 

I did see a poster posted by another artist that had creeper on the poster so assume they are playing relatively high up

I think they've got accidentally announced somewhere and its a big non secret they're booked. It'll be a semi headline spot I assume, the podcast the organiser does raves about them but you can tell he doesn't think they're there just yet. 

Fairly sure in a group chat I'm in, one of the band mentioned during their album signing tour they've wrote some songs perfect for as the suns going down. Seems perfect for a main stage half 8/9pm slot before a headliner.

The MySpace era revival is in full swing, lots of kids making 2005 era deathcore and stuff right now.

I'll always have a soft spot for that 2004-2006 period where I went from being in to more traditional death metal, joining a band I was told "sounds exactly like Nile" and having the world of deathcore opened up to me. I still love to occasionally stick on Job For A Cowboy, Through The Eyes Of The Dead, Elysia, See You Next Tuesday and my favourites, Impending Doom.

This is the band I was lured in to. I'm not on this recording but I did help write it. I'm in that photo somewhere though playing my flying V. That's a much missed basement venue in Rotherham called The Charters Arms which was such a bustling scene between 2002-2006 where a good mate of mine put cheap shows every Thursday. BMTH played there early on, I believe I saw Enter Shikari there, Malefice, some belting bands that went on to do great things that I saw for three quid. He was once offered Napalm Death to play there for a grand and he turned them down. Gutted.

I’m kidding of course and didn’t actually mind the song, but yeah that’s so 2004 you’d be forgiven for thinking it was a parody.
